  • We're on historic Prince Street in Nolita to view a home with ties to old New York. Built in the 1820s, the structure was originally the school and convent of Saint Patrick’s old cathedral. It has now been beautifully reimagined as a luxurious townhouse filled with every conceivable amenity.

The building itself, the architectural details, and the furnishings are incredibly beautiful, however, not being from a large city, it's difficult for me to relate to this sort of living. First of all, there's hardly any privacy from the backyard and with that new construction going up, there will be even less. It's hard for me to imagine spending $25 million on a home with no privacy. It's also strange for me to get used to the idea of window "exposures" like that's supposed to be a good thing, lol. For a city dweller, I'm sure this is the perfect abode. It certainly is lovely.

I walked by this place many times.. I always thought it's Soho? Anyways, it's near lots of shopping and lots of restaurants but herds of tourists walk on that very street, by that very church...

Why do so many people build expensive homes now and not put curtains in them? Sorry, but I like living in something that looks like a home, not the lobby of an office building.

Yeah, this entire building of 4 (or 5) levels totally renewed and with historical past in the center manhattan, NYC, most expensive city in the world is totally not worth 25 million, I don't know why they put a price like that, it's not like you're buying a whole building... Right?

It’s 5 mil. without an elevator.

😮 " MEH!... Typical, absurdly overpriced, NYC real estate. Which just proves the super rich can get taken like the rest of us poorer schmucks. It's a bit more contemporary than my preference. Five levels is too much for Me. I don't like heights, especially with open stairwells. But, I respect that many others will feel different. "
