really great content you're putting out, thank you for the time and effort you put into these
Happy to hear that I'm not alone in having tons of versions of one song/idea. As an engineer who often steps away from their own music it's natural to feel the need to mold existing songs to reflect your current mindset.
I really felt the anecdote about finding room for vocals involving sacrifice (alternatively, vocal ideas that might sometimes be better as a musical layer in an instrumental). This video gave me some super important reassurances, so thanks for the content and keep it up!
Love these interviews !
Love these episodes🙏🏽! Are there longer versions somewhere else or are they strictly short videos?
Thank you! Unfortunately we can't post the full versions on CZcams due to copyright issues, but they'll be coming to Patreon soon!

Top notch 👏
I fucking Love this man
I really get spending too much time looking for the perfect sounds. I'll find a dope sound, but then I'll think I can make it even better. This often times leads me to tweaking sounds, until I make something that doesn't sound as good, or something that's just as good. It's rare to take something good, and turn it into something worth spending more time on. It can be fun and entertaining, but if you're trying to complete something, it's rarely worth it. I'm starting to think a good synth, and lots of quality FX, is better than having a room full of synths.
Gotta give your mind the chance to show what it’s got ! Ya get me? Like, let your creativity have the SPACE to really get down n funky n show out. When we have too much or overthink we end up wasting time going through sounds or over tweaking lol. You got this brudda! Go make some amazing music!
@@dusa605 100% agree!
