    Mein lieber Freund,
was für eine wunderbare Überraschung, dass Du dieses Video gemacht hast! Ich liebe es. 🥰
Your German is so impressive; you're doing so well with that, bro!
I'd say that I could listen to your grammatical and pronounciation exercises for hours - but that would be a massive understatement. 😊
Some feedback, as you asked about it:
In German, the correct gender article for "Geldautomat" is DER.
The reason for this is that in German language, the article usually results from the gender of the last part of a compound:
das Geld, der Automat → der Geldautomat
die Notiz, das Buch → das Notizbuch
die Sprache, das Talent → das Sprachtalent
Fun fact: There is an ever ongoing discussion in Germany about which article is correct for "Nutella". DER, DIE or DAS Nutella? It's some kind of meme that once in a while, this becomes a topic in comment sections of social media again.
For specific nouns, such as professions, the gender is additionally expressed by affixes, such as [-in] for female versions:
    der Lehrer, die Lehrerin
    der Student, die Studentin
    der Pilot, die Pilotin
In some cases - but not regularly -, if the word starts with a vowel, the latter is changed into a mutated one (Umlaut) as well:
    der Arzt, die Ärztin
    but
    der Apotheker, die Apothekerin
In Germany, during the past years a serious "cultural war" about such gender language has intensified enormously, driven by the extremely far right and adopted by moderate conservatives.
They claim that the use of the male form of a word "already includes everyone else" (generatives Maskulinum), so that female forms, or especially new variations intended to be inclusive for additional genders, should be abolished.
This cultural war went so far recently that several German states ruled by conservatives (or with them being part of the ruling coalition) even created laws which actively prohibit the use of gender-sensitive language in said states' authorities and even schools.

Addressing someone with "Sie" (verb: siezen) indeed is an expression of formal distance, and also of respect - while saying "Du" (verb: duzen) is only used between persons who are close to each other, like family and friends.
This has some implications which may seem strange to non-German speakers:
    • Traditionally, and due to respect, the older person decides to "offer saying Du" to the younger one ("das Du anbieten"), which then is perceived as taking a meaningful step into a new quality of closer contact with each other
    • Saying "Du" to police officers is seen as such a blatant lack of respect that it's equivalent to insulting them, and you get fined several hundred Euros for that (!)

When it comes to people that you know could you address them as "Du" even though they're older?

I’m going to actually reply to that soon, but I don’t have the time right at this moment to response in a way that does your comment justice. So for now: Tausand Dank!
