This is why we love these guys… that is a breath of fresh air to hear pure love and acceptance and not jealousy or resentment. The Jonas/Busted story is a beautiful one for sure
First thought was "woah, this must be the largest interview they've done so far since announcing the anniversary" then I saw the tags on the videos and was like "wait... why is one tag Kevin Jonas? oh sh*t! papa Jonas has a podcast!"
It was a wonderful conversation. For all the discourse around Year 3000 it sure was an introduction for a lot of young people into not one but two bands! And to see the Jonases and Busted being thankful for each other's version of the song is really cool.
Btw for the 20th anniversary the guys are releasing an album re-recordings of their songs, each with a different featuring artist ... I wonder who'll feature on Year 3000...😜

This was amazing to watch. I only discovered Busted right after they split and became a huge fan of not only them but everything that happened because or around them. Bands like Fightstar, McFly, Jonas Brothers, Son of Dork etc. I was so crazy excited when they got back together and still looking forward to the years to come.
Fightstar were just next level, Charlie is a genius and his so-called side projects and solo material hasn't got a smidgen of the success it deserved. I do really appreciate Busted as a Pop-Rock / Pop-Punk outfit though.
Hope we get new songs as well as the re recordings. One of my all time favourite bands

I am thankful for Busted, and Jonas Brothers. I hope to listen a version of "Year 3000" of them, together in a studio, I would like to hear it on the new Busted Greatest Hits album. Wow… I had no idea James wrote Appreciate!!!
I’m also absolutely shocked they didn’t necessarily need Busted permission to use their songs!!
James is a phenomenal writer, he even wrote a Musical 'Looserville'
not necessarily permission from the band, but you cant change the publishing 'underlying composition/melody/arrangement' and copy write law states if you make money from a cover you have to compensate the original writers 'royalty checks'
