    Girls from West Catholic High School didn't make any effort to conceal their smart uniforms. The nuns were totally defied. Beautiful regulars Carole Scaldeferri and Arlene DiPietro made those signature Peter Pan blouse collars and navy blue jumpers famous.
    Catholic school students took pride in their uniforms back in the day. Especially those of us who wore designer styles to exclusive prep schools. Unlike today's cheap, sloppy uniforms, they were spit-and-polish badges of brains and honor.

    • @josiechas
      @josiechas Před 2 lety +1

      I agree with you Paula 100%. I went to an all boys Catholic high school in a suburb of New York City. I had to wear jacket and tie to school every day. I was taught by priests and Christian Brothers. When I was 16 and 17 I didn't like being in an all boys school. I wanted to learn how to be around girls. But my parents knew what they were doing because now I see that my high school education, along with my military training in the U.S. Army, shaped my set of principles that I have lived by up to this very day.
