    He is AMAZING! I saw him on his "En Route to Normal" Tour in 2021 and he was supremely talented, both in stand-up comedy and music! 👏🏻

    It is a Turkish saz. But it must have been built on a specific order. Traditional Turkish saz doesn't look like that in phenotype.

    • @chrispaynter
      @chrispaynter Před 5 měsíci +1

      It's his own version though, he invented that one

    • @blorkpovud1576

      I was wondering that. Reminded me more of an Irish Baglama.

    • @SharpsWorkshop
      @SharpsWorkshop Před 2 měsíci

      It's a Paul Hathway model - flat back and quite different from the usual type.

  • @arifreeman
    @arifreeman Před 26 dny

    That instrument has more in common with an Irish bouzouki than a Turkish saz. It has no quartertone frets, and the shape and size of the body are very different.

    Looks more like a three course bouzouki. Having no quarter notes either.
    Why call it a turkish saz?

  • @waynegriffith9124

    Doesn't sound anything like candle in the wind

    • @josephbarrow3239

      I can hear it. Yes, it's different from a piano rendition as you've possibly heard from Sir Elton, but it would also sound different on a six-string steel guitar, or a marimba, or a saxophone.
