About Married with Children:
The less-than-lovable Bundys are a radical departure from the saccharine-sweet TV families popular since the days of Father Knows Best. With offbeat humor and unflinching honesty, Married... paints a more realistic picture of middle-class existence, warts and all. Al Bundy (Ed O'Neill) is a shoe salesman who is fond of frequently reliving his doubtful 15 seconds of fame on the football field. Al is terrified of the all-too-frequent amorous advances of his ditsy wife Peggy (Katey Sagal), who spends most of Al's wages at the salon and the mall. They have two teenage kids: stunning but superficial party animal Kelly (Christina Applegate) and egocentric Bud (David Faustino). Married for 16 semi-blissful years, Peggy and Al have found that the secret to a happy marriage is to accept one another's idiosyncrasies.

Peggy: “I saved myself for marriage.” Al: “Oh come on! The football team retired HER jersey!”
I loved how the audience always applauded and shouted for guest stars.
Bundy im supposed to show you how their lives would be better with you in it. But I cant think of one darn reason lolll
Yeah being in the audience in the show, especially in the later years, would have been an absolute blast!
The late great Sam Kinnison finest performance. RIP comic legend, you were taken from us way too soon.
Sam kinnerson turned down the roll of al bundy so they got Ed O'neil instead
I remember watching this episode when it first aired. Up till then, I didn't know who Sam Kinison was. I sure did after this.
I know that was a shocking experience.
RIP to Sam Kimison who 3 years after this premiered, ended up becoming an angel for real.
My guardian angel.
* Kinison
He was great... too bad he died right when he was turning his ship around in life. He would've been a prolific entertainer.
My all-time favorite Married with Children episode!!❤❤
R.I. P. Sam Kinison 🙏🏻
"Don't be a wish pig, Bundy! You want three wishes, get a genie!"
Great follow up: "Oh, I get it! You're one of my wife's relatives."😆😆
Merry Bundy christmas 🎁🎄🎅
from Vantaa, Finland 🇫🇮,
to all of you fellow MWC fans 😺👍.
What is so awesome here is that it was supposedly Sam Kinsion they had in mind to play Al.
I loved Sam, he was one of my favorite comedians, but no one could have made a better Al Bundy than Ed O'Neill. He made the character so iconic.
And Roseanne was supposed to be Peggy
The part where Marcy's drunk at the bank is so hilarious. That song will forever be her moment. 🤣
This great episode. Sam pinching Peggy was a perfect adlib.
Sam pinched Big Red. But, Al married Big Red.
Sam Kinison! All comedians from that era had so much personality, I'm glad Sam was eternalized on "Married... with Children".
Great video!
Al's expression wen' he got electrocuted..
The same face I make when I look at myself in the mirror in the morning 😂😂😂😂😂😂
3:16 ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️shocking
The moment between Al and Buck was so good. What an amazing performing dog, he had genuine comedic timing and chemistry.
"Oh, I get it. Your one of my wives relatives. I never seen one up right before." - Al Bundy.
"know much like a neutered dog, you don't get it, Bundy. Read my lips. I am your guardian angel." - Sam Kinison.
Sam Kinison. My all time favorite comedian ever!
I forgot Sam Kinison was on this show. Legend!!
3:07 "It's a wonderful life." Hahaha
3:15 LMAO....that scene always cracks me up!
It's great to see the original version of this clip for everyone to see! Note: Some DVDs released a heavily cut, syndicated version of this episode. If anyone remembers the old Bundyology site, I contributed to listing the scenes that were removed.
What exactly was cut in this?
@@gregwilliams4926 Part 1 was left intact. Part 2 has almost 4 minutes cut:
1) The entire opening scene where the Bundys (minus Al) prepare for Al to come home with presents, which he never did.
2) Al's explanation on why he didn't come home with presents is expanded.
3) In this video clip: Everything from 0:40 to 2:48
4) Very subtle, but when Sam Kinison realizes who he has to help, he pauses a bit longer before saying "NOOOO!!!!".
5) Al tells his angel to fly around a play a harp. That and Kinison's retort before Al requests to make his Christmas lights work
6) Kinison's last statement before Bud enters the scene
?) I have to check the syndication version again, but the audience laugh track may have been abruptly cut after Al mentions Peg's relatives.
I'll have to look, but I might even have the original email I sent to the web developer who created Bundyology.

I have the DVD set. That segment with Marcy was cut out of mine. Don't know why.
I wonder the 2 episodes were combined into one hour-long episode when it was aired on TV, but got separated for DVD release. I only have DVD version, so I have never seen this until very recently.

All I want for Christmas is Christina Applegate! 😍😍😍😍❤❤❤❤🎄🎄🎄🎄
Lovely lady, who could blame you.
I hope she’s enjoying her Christmastime wherever she is.
The MWC Christmas post we've been waiting for 🎄🎁🤘
Fun Fact: Sam Kinison had been a Pentacostalist preacher. Hence his delivery style.
Al Bundy meets Sam Kinison 🤘🤘
Back in the day you could eat for 8 bucks now anymore I have probably watched all episodes of married with children now our world has become lawless
Sam Kimison… god rest his soul… he was the first choice to be Al Bundy
Al Bundy deserves better than that ungrateful family of his, except Buck Bundy of course. Well at least Al gave them their comeuppance by not letting them be happy, by simply existing.
For the rest of eternity, he would only shoe the large and the ungrateful.
Nah, they're all pretty terrible, they deserve each other. Then again, Peg is super extra terrible. They were all written to be super flawed characters, much like Family Guy.
@@bobjones4469Legit, my first thought when I saw Peg for the first time is:
“This character reminds me of Lois Griffin; only in live action. The character is similarly nuts, but I can’t take my eyes off the actress; and she’s wearing a red wig too.”
One big difference between the two though is that Peter and Lois have cheated on each other several times.
Without that, we wouldn't have this wonderful, world funniest show. So this comment very irrelevant
Have you even seen the whole series?
Merry Christmas MWC Fans........RIP Sam kinison
Pause at 3:16. The look on Al's face.
Sam! RIP brother.
Poor Al poor Al
This is classic. Sam Kennison and Ed O'Neil
From the two-part Christmas episode 'It's a Bundy-ful life.'
Woow Jablonski! 😂
JEFFERSON FIRST TIME IN SHOW
Best episode of all time!
This episode is actually way funnier If you know that the original idea for married with children was going to be Sam Kinison married to Roseanne.
Please post the entire episode this Christmas.
I don't remember the scene with Marcy. :-0
Sadly it was exclusive only to the old VHS of this
I forgot how funny Sam was...
The greatest Christmas show ever!
Oh Sammy I love you 🎉
Al: Oh i get you're one of my wife's relatives. I've never seen one upright before!
Angel: No much like a neutered dog- you don't get it Bundy!
They gotta make Married with Grandchildren
Sam Kinison was a genius
Christmas time is a comming... pls show this whole episode.
I love drunk Marcy
RIP Sam
"It's a bundyful life", part 1 and 2. That's the name of the episode.
“Much like a neutered dog, you don’t get it”
al’s shoe soles all worn through
I miss Sam Kimison
👋🤣👍👉❤️God I loved that show!
5:11 ...🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺😂😂😂
8 bucks... for 3 people.. at DENNYS???? we truly live in a society.
We .Miss Sam Kinison
Remember that episode “The Stepford Peg”? Peg got amnesia and Al turned her into the perfect housewife. If only it ended the series and Peg didn’t get her memory back. Peg was a lousy mom and wife so that would’ve served her right.
😂😂😂
God turn water into wine when rain
He sure passed out fast from that shock!
hiliarous
😂😂😂😂
Was this a Christmas special?
Is that.......? Sam Kinnison?
yep
R.I.P. Sam Kinison. He was killed in a car accident on April 10th, 1992. He will be missed. 😿😢
Come on, he's missed since 1992... 🤦♂️
Its bud not buck
brother saw Kinison live in Kansas City a couple of months before his untimely death at the hands of a 17 year old impaired driver enroute to do three sold out shows in Vegas cut his Honeymoon short in Hawaii.
Rumor has it that Sam Kinison and Roseanne were considered for the roles of Al and Peggy Bundy, respectively.
Edit: I’m sorry. I don’t know why I said “rumor has it” when I know it’s true.
Not a rumor, it's true.
One more thing to be thankful for!
It’s very true
To make a joke about sending an intoxicated woman to a dangerous situation is not funny.
When men could be men! And chickens could get married to people apparently!
Al always felt like a dead man walking, so he granted his wish!😂😂😂😂✡️🕎🇮🇱
