      @tomlucasrccrawlers9108 Před 5 lety +3

      I kind've agree.
      Seems alot of channels get stuff for free.
      I reviewed two of 3Brothers RC ACIS SIX staggered 6-pole non-sensored motors....I talk to Tom for quite some time before the release of his motors....I told him regardless if you give them to me or I buy them(I'm bought the two i tested)...I'm giving an honest review...by the way , the ACIS 3000kv in a 2-speed rig is awesome power by a Sidewinder 4 or a Mamba X.
      Same with Jason , the owner of Boom Racing....he sent me some new tires a few years ago. I tested those. That's now his flagship tire....they are good...but they are ugly. Hahaha.
      I'm not a fan of Medic/Sparks RC...he's hot gotten so far out there...he's been given thousands and thousands of dollars in rc stuff and nobody can relate to his videos anymore. Many years ago I use to follow him...not anymore.
      He's still a fun guy...just can't relate to most his builds.

      Tom Lucas I feel the same way about RCSparks. I attribute much of my initial discovery of Scale trucks & crawling to that channel, back in 2013/14, but, after awhile, the content moved out of my range of interests, and the presentation of it began to seem insincere(with the exception of his divulging his personal health struggles).

    I have the TRX4 blazer and the Enduro HD. Both trucks are amazing! But the TRX4 is a little ( and I do mean LITTLE) better in EVERY aspect... It crawls better, it is bashable, tighter turning radius, MUCH better body, better parts availability... It's just a better rig. And I hate Traxxas, but they nailed the TRX4. Credit where credit is due.

    Nice review.
    Alot of guys probably think you're a little bias toward the Traxxas...but I have both the TRX4 and the Element. I've been really deep into both of them...and I agree with you. The Sport , even tho it has less features is a better rig...not by much...but it is.
    I think if the Element had the better/harder plastic installed at the factory, the tire foams were softer, radio had 50/50 instead of the 70/30(front/rear), and the body was just a little thickers...then the Element would be the winner....but it's extremely close.

    Both factory servos didn't last more than 4 battery packs. The factory wheels on the Enduro would go flat constantly. Very annoying. Along with the terrible tire quality. The Enduro has all plastic transmission. Trx internals are all metal. The factory esc dominates on the Traxxas. Needing a remote, replacing the electronics, makes the Traxxas have the win. Plus the aftermarket parts for Traxxas is never-ending. I have faith the Enduro with get better with time as parts come out. But the downfalls make an easy choice for trx. (Let's just not even mention the portals 😁)

    • @brianpoppe2578
      @brianpoppe2578 Před 5 lety +1

      The esc in the trx is much better imo. The reverse in the element is way to touchy. I'd replace it right away it just because of the reverse.

    • @RCReviewChannel
      @RCReviewChannel  Před 5 lety

      For sure. What you want is a 1.9 Hyrax tire or Proline KM2. The key is to get a tire that is about 4.7 inches in diameter. Lots of options out there too but this is a start. Your current tire is about 4.3 inches in diameter. Always use a 1.9 inch wheel as the base.

    This may sound weird but I think the trx4 is better built. Seems like everything goes together with each other and has a usable function WITH NO OD. The element which sucks for me cause I started out years ago with AE. It seems like a well built home built rig. Everything is floppy and flexible. The servo is stronger but .180 is still bad. I’m not slamming the element but you hear from them it’s our first one. Well so is the trx4 sport and it’s even has a 1/5” shorter wheelbase than the first defender model. When I got my defender first two weeks it hit the shelves I was like dang look at the diff covers appears to be similar in size to the ar44’s. The drive shafts seem to mimic the WB8’s as well. Then you drive it and realize with a different body they knocked it out of the park. The element same story looks similar but then it’s floppy all over. Idk like em both and great review.

    • @ironforgerc4799
      @ironforgerc4799 Před 5 lety +4

      One of the best things about the TRX4 is the portals, and it's also one of the worst things about it. The number one thing most folks (competitive and amateur alike) try to do is lower their center of gravity. The portals actually run directly counter to this goal since they raise your CG. Don't get me wrong, ground clearance is usually high on the list as well so it's not all bad, but there ARE drawbacks to portals. Overdrive has NO drawbacks unless you intend to drive around on a hard surface with sticky tires, in which case why did you buy a crawler? The TRX4 is limited in top end fully modified form, in part because the only way to counter the portals is to add weight, which, in most cases, is a bad idea. One of the best things about this hobby is the variety of rigs, builds, people, and opinions it brings to the table. To each his own, but I for one agree with Overdrive being better than Portals.

    Hey man. I like your reviews. I like the content, but for god's sake please decorate your damn review room! Everytime I come here (note I have not subscribed) I say to myself "I like this dude and what he has to say", but for the love of god please get with the times and print a poster or family portrait, or even better...something RC related. I will subscribe when you do. In the meantime keep up the good work.

    Sorry, but these crawlers are not the best in my opinion, the gen 8 with a few mods, like these have is an all around better truck, I own thetrx-4, and the gen 8, now the trx-4 is my shelf queen. But again that's my opinion, everybody has there own, that's why these channels are up, go watch aussirc's review, guarantee you won't be that excited to pick the enduro up after you watch that.

      Dwayne Baker gen8 is a great rig but sorry can’t compare to the trx4 we love our gen8 and can’t agree more that it’s a dope platform but the sport is king

      Gen 8 looks awfully nice, a lot of bang for your buck. TRX 4 is better for crawling. Gets where the RedCat can't on every crawl .

      We've made about 20 videos on the Gen 8 so we know it well. We'll compare it to the Element RC with identical bodies for a cage match.
