They were jealous of their luck and happy, lovely life. (World is black and white, but we were screaming colors). 'Out Of The Woods' is probably one of Taylor Swift's most emotionally intense song. I could strongly feel her pain, anguish, angst, sorrow, and dejection in this song. I was actually quite disappointed that this song did not fare as well as her other singles from her '1989' album. It's 2022 and I am still listening to this. I wonder who else is still listening to this.

She throws the necklace showing that she wants to free herself from a toxic situation yet reaches for it as it flies because she wants to believe things will work out. That sounds good, the chorus to me is she describes the "woods" is conflict in the relationship and she is waiting for the time the conflict subsides so they can be on decent terms again. One of my favourite songs on this great album.

I think the "out of the woods" part means "is every problem solved?" Like she means if everything is now safe and normal.
