Amir is really smart and a great debater. He startsanswering every hard question by negating it completely then says something completely different and then brings up a religious text or a historic event out of context at some point and uses it to prove his tangential point, also as soon as people hear anything religious, because of a lack of knowledge and personal research and reliance on clerics like him for religious insight, the process of questioning him ends. Its also works psychologically because most people can't keep track of such swift switches and by the end they won't even remember what the original question was.
He is a very smart man who has cracked the nation's code and is now 'enjoying' its exploits

I am not making him my hero, I also had a lot of disagreements with him over several subjects but still his death made me distressed.
