Before that i just wanna say
"Terima kasih banyak" it mean "thank you so much" for your quick respond wave... because i'm pretty sure you are quite busy now hhe...
Her Joe Satriani's "Satch Boogie" versión with Li-sa-X & Kouichi Terasawa and Europe's "The Final Countdown" are the two videos you must watch.
If you are a member of the Yoyoka Friendship level you will probably have access to the live stream gig on October 23 with the Cross Road Band.
The whole session HAS to be released on CD so I can rock out to all these songs in the car. A DVD would be great too.
Yoyoka is mature as a musician well beyond her years, the whole birthday celebration was fantastic. 🐰🥁🐰🥁🐰
Tiny point: the 'Yoyoka 12th Birthday' tracks were recorded while she was 11yo. It's only a few weeks though. AFAIK they created at least 10 tracks in one day. I agree the band is outstanding. Keyboards, guitar, bass, and, of course, drums are high-end. The vocals are "the icing on the cake"..
Every musician and vocalist in this ensemble, including Li-Sa-X who did not perform on this particular song, is world class. Absolutely sublime.
Her Joe Satriani's "Satch Boogie" versión with Li-sa-X & Kouichi Terasawa and Europe's "The Final Countdown" are the two videos you must watch.
Completely agree that the musicianship and sound engineering is absolutely world class and it's a testimony to Yoyoka's maturity as a musician that she's perfectly happy to do her job staying in the pocket and providing the foundation for her bandmates to shine. For a completely different experience check out her latest improv jam session with Ryunosuke Yamagishi, yet another world class guitarist she basically mindmelds with for ten minutes. It's impossible to overstate how inspiring it is to watch her blossom in all sorts of different directions and I really enjoy hearing your perspective. Subscribed!
Incredible talent. All of them.
Just an overwhelming talent.
What's interesting about Yoyoka is that she's so humble and dedicated to the music she plays, anyway I admire this inspiring young lady. In fact it was not just the party at Yoyoka but a celebration of good music. Yoyoka "She's the boss". Thank you Wave for your comments.
Really fine work! Yoyoka gave us a wonderful birthday gift! My favorite number is Mistreated by Deep Purple. She found it herself and it is a big slice of Blues a la Whipping Post by the Allman Brothers! Same lead singer who shines. Very telling that her choice of this song shines the spotlight on the singer and guitarist NOT the drummer. I listen to it about every day or so. Mighty fine! As always thank you Wave for this excellent reaction!
I can’t wait to see it! I’m going to try to work through all of her new videos soon!
@@WavePotter I think Mistreated was the best song of all (with Satch Boogie a close second)! All were excellent. (and props to the keyboard player).
@@byronbutterfield when I want to hear a song 3x in a row it is a good indication that's a mighty fine song!
@@chrisegbertky i became aware of the perfect signaling between the singer and Yoyoka (the "you got it" signal). i thought it was fantastic!
Well said Wave, recording engineer also did a great job as well as band members
Since the Cross Roads House band gig, she's put out more music (for reactors 😀). My favourites:
1. A cover of Radiohead "15 steps". She's playing V-Drums. The original has a lot of electronic 'percussion', so V-Drums work. Also she's not in their home studio, so maybe quieter was needed. She's relaxed, happy and 'dance-y'. Yoyoka makes it joyful (Radiohead, joyful? 😀). Top 5 for me: czcams.com/video/oxdd6yOKzx0/video.html
2. An improvised Jam session of three 'jams'; "Yoyoka × Ryunosuke Yamagishi / Jam Session". She's improvised with her dad, but it's wonderful to hear her 'synch' with someone so quickly. In the second 'jam' she shows a subtler side of her drumming talent. It's lovely: czcams.com/video/XBWizeA5yt8/video.html
You said it. Love jam #2. Love the whole Soma clan.
His voice more powerful than the original singer....so fit with this song.....pure Rocker/Metal voice....
Our Yoyoka is SUCH a pro. Awesome to see her fit in SO seamlessly with these seasoned adult professionals.
If you are a member of the Yoyoka Friendship level you will probably have access to the live stream gig on October 23 with the Cross Road Band.😉
Well , great song , great cover. The old guy has a great rasp Voice but he is only in this song , with the others she did 3 or 4 more live session songs to her 12th birthday . Its great to see her evolving , play a cover is something different than to play live and to a degree , steer the song at the drums and the other musicians with it .
the "old guy" also did Mistreated. He knocked it out of the park.
@@byronbutterfield
It seems it took some Time to cut all songs they made on Yoyokas Bithday Session , she uploaded just another one " Free - Wishing Well " ( with the old Guy aka Yuichi Ikuzawa ) . It seems she was very busy that day
@@MK-xc9to Wow! Cool. I know where I am headed next...
Hi Wave! ❣️
This was done with minimal
rehearsal and one take!
Please do the rest of these
songs!
Also, Yoyoka just did an improv
session with Ryunosuke Yamagishi.
He's a bit older than she is, but
darn it's my new favorite thing!
They are so good together!
He is also a prodigy.
I'm with you on the improv session. Might just be my all time favorite YOYOKA video, too ( next to Happy ).
I listen to the improv session right before work to get a good attitude. Take daily as needed with coffee!
I’ve watched that during my livestream but someone did make a request for it so I will be making a video about it soon!
I'm just excited she's here and gonna be recording with bootsy collins and up in your neck of the woods Wave!
By far the best version I've heard
That outro solo was real tasty. Really, really tasty .
An Eddie feel but with a touch more fluid melodic sense . That's what the outro felt like. Tastiness see Warren DiMartini, Gary Moore, Lynch, Schon.
The live video from her birthday is still online plus a lot more stuff, but only available for channel members.
It's only about 2,50 US$ a month.
Wasn’t this such an epic recording session Wave? The chat was great and it was a real celebration of the music we love. As always a wonderful reaction video Wave. Pat 🏴
You should see her latest jam session.
And all the other songs from this birthday party.
Accent and all, I like this singer's voice better than David Lee Roth's. The whole band is just outstanding!
Excellent comments. She is exceptionally mature AND talented. 🤗
Still waiting for Yoyoka+Li-sa-X playing Satch Boogie. Now you can even compare it from when they were 10 and 14 and now that they're 12 and 16.
I thought I had seen this one but realised it was a a different song. The one I heard was the Final Countdown.
Come to think of it, the voices are familiar. JAM Project?
Oh. Did I mention that I really, really, like the singer?
I know you have already reacted to yoyokas cover of burn, but she did it live with this band...incredible! Would you consider reacting to burn again? Thanks!
GLAD YOU COVERD THIS MT I DID ASK WHERE U WHERE A MT OF YOURS SAID YOU WERE AT KIP , BUT YOUR SO RIGHT SHES A REAL DEAL ROCK DRUMMER , THE BAND SHARP AS A RAZOR M.
Awesome.
Mr Big Colorado Bulldog, She is a joy to watch, Next level, check it out....
Yoyoka's first Van Halen?
I think so.
I know it's not the first for satsuma.
When I first stumbled on satsuma I knew a few things. E. V. H. And Michael Schenker held a certain respect for.
Doesn’t everyone see this Yoyoka fact as clearly as I? People born in October RULE!
The more I listen to this the more I prefer it to the original by VH.
You very nice wwwwww
Would have been better if the vocalist would have pulled off the full split touch your toes jump split
That other vocal i think thats nobou? Who sing the saint seiya theme song??

I'm not getting what you mean when you said she fits in to a band very well. To me she's pretty much perfect in a band or just jamming on her own. It always sounds the same regardless. Sounds kik ass
To fit well in a band, you need to be just as good of a listener as you are a performer. Something that's very rare in kid musicians. But i agree with you! :)
No, you’re right , she is better.
Are her parents trying to make her look like a boy? Not bashing her/them, just curious because she really doesn’t look like a young girl anymore. Probably should have mentioned I’m saying this because of the haircut.
Almost certainly just her own preference at this time in her life. Not too uncommon for those entering junior high. Possibly she's in the volleyball club? That's the hairstyle.
I think she cut her hair short because it got in her face when she was playing drums, and she wears plain clothes because she wants to be respected for her performance, not how "cute" she looks. It pisses me off when people judge her appearance, she's a 12 year old kid for fecks sake!
Please stop trying to make this young girl fit into some outdated stereotype. It doesn’t help her or any young girl.
@@a.bevdfray6625 who said they were trying to stereotype her?
@@alex-rv-uk you and John are the same person lol
A agree, she is One of a kind. What a future ahead she is gone have. That person has two levels more then the regular drummers. Just see how much time she has. Mindeblowing...
