I hate when someone enters with their shoes on,I'm not from Turkey
Me too.
💞
I know! It's disgusting. Who knows what u stepped on in the streets🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🇿🇦
Same with Indonesia
Also, not welcomed in most African cultures too. Basically it’s the norm to take your shoes off at the front entrance door in the many cultures except in Western one.
1. Don't call yogurt "Greek yogurt"
2. Don't enter homes with shoes on
3. Don't look into people eyes longer than 2 seconds if u don't know them
4. Don't expect traffic to stop when you're about to cross the street
5. Don't pick a restaurant that doesn't have a menu (scamming tourists with overpriced meals)
6. Don't forget to bargain in bazaars especially for tourist.
7. Try not to wear high heels if exploring city on foot (a lot of uphill area everywhere)
8. Don't trust taxi drivers. Utilize phone apps (he recommends Apps in the video)
9? Avoid shopping in touristy areas
You ruined whole vdo 🤣
Thanks for saving me time
@Nazar 23 sure. But those expensive carpets are the flying ones, man!
good spoiler
True
1: Dont insult the Turkish flag
2: Dont insult Ataturk
3: Dont harash Turkish woman
if you do 1 of these 3 thingsm our hospitality will turn very quick in to hostality
No Pakistani will do these things. ✌️
Why only turkish Women? Why not all Women?🥺

I am from Pakistan, but live in UK. I go to Antalya every year and I will visit Istanbul on my way back from Pakistan next year. I love love love Turkey. The people are so friendly, not just with Pakistanis, but with everyone. they love kids and will start playing with your kids while you are shopping in their shop. it is my dream to move permanently to Turkey. first I was thinking of moving to Istanbul, but after watching your Straight talk video about Antalya. I have decided that I will move to Antalya. but unfortunately, there are no jobs for me in Antalya :( ..... Unfortunately we were scammed in a small restaurant near the Grand Bazaar. We do not speak Turkish, only my sister was speaking, and when she tried to speak with the owner of the place he refused to listen to her and asked her to remain silent in a rude way. Turkey is a very beautiful country, but unfortunately some people are not good and these actions harm their country's reputation. Thanks for these good advice.
@@nurankrimova282 This is true, in every country there are good and bad people, but the owners of tourist places in particular must deal with tourists in a better way because Turkey is a tourist country.
@@nurankrimova282 Please go back and read the first comment again. I have said some people, not all of them. I have no problem with the Turkish people or others. I met many good people there. I was just telling the thing that happened to me and I don't know why you feel so bad about it. As I said previously, there are good and bad people everywhere. Please read carefully before responding. Good bye 🖐.
I totally agree.
I'm sorry that something like that happened to you, unfortunately there are some bad and unrespectful people between us :')

I’ve been living in Istanbul for 7 months, the country is beyond beautiful and I think the people are lucky to have a country with such an amazing history and archaeological sites. I have met really good and helpful people I can’t deny but SOME of the people disrespect u when they know you’re a foreigner, once I was in a shop looking for bags to buy, the shop keeper kicked me out and told me that he had nothing to sell me when heard me speaking in my language to my mother. Another time a notary talked really rudely to me because I said I could speak in Turkish but I made mistakes when I talked, though I didn’t say that my Turkish was full! I was SHOCKED and that was really disappointing 💔 I have experienced several situations like these in official departments💔 For me, it doesn’t make sense to be a touristic country’s population and yet act to people according to their nationality because this harms the country’s reputation, we’re all inhabitants of this planet! We can live peacefully as long as we respect and accept one another. there are both good and bad people like anywhere else in the world and ofcource the good people overcome the bad ones but despite that I think a magical country like Turkey deserves to represented better than this by its people to the world! Anyways I really love the country and the people and I've made great friends here, I hope I will no longer experience these situations.
Love and respect to everyone❤️
Hello! I am sorry for the bad memories you had in Istanbul! I don't know where you are from. Turkey may be the last place to have racism. Turkish people are known as non racist and normally very respectful and curious to foreigners (if you are not Kurdish or Armenian). Unfortunately this has been changing due to the massive immigration from 3rd world countries. The immigrants are causing problems and as their population are getting higher, Turkish people feel more and more uncomfortable. The Turkish Government is mosty blamed for this massive population of uncontrolled immigration to Turkey and i can say that Turkey is becoming a racist Country especially to Arabs, Iranians, Afghans... unfortunately. Personally i know there are only bad and good people in the world and it is unaccaptable to judge a person for his/her race but even i feel uncomfartable sometimes in a place in which the majority of people around me are foreigners, i live in Turkey, it shouldn't be like that! Anyways, i tried to explain the current situation but mostly people Will treat you nice once the recognize you are foreigner because they will still think you are rich:)
The notary has my respect
Wow I'm soot sorry I'm actually Turkish myself and I feel bad for people like this and it annoys me soo much I'm french and Turkish and I'm sorry for you experience in Turkey but I hope Turkey well be better in the future. I always loved Turkey soo much for so many years btw I live in France but I visit Turkey almost every year. I'm a huge of Turkey and Turkish drama flims but now I read you comment I feel soo bad I'm very sorry once again thank you for listening/reading this comment
And sorry for my very bad English

Fun fact 🇦🇱, Some of the pavement roads in Istanbul are called Arnavut Kaldrim, which means Albanian pavements. And also theres a famous region in Istanbul called Arnavutkoy, which means Albanian village. 🇦🇱
Polonezköy = Village of Polish (İstanbul)
Çerkezköy = Village of Cherkes (Tekirdağ)

I've been many times in Istanbul , I couldn't stop relating to all these things , back in my earlier trips , particularly enjoyed the bargain example haha, I suck at bargains, and surely I've been ripped off more times than I can tell . but i adore your country, and I've learned. Great content
You can be a little more insistent, bargaining is very normal in Turkey.
no need to worry turkish can be scammed in turkey too
I was in Istanbul last May for five days, I just can say that I loved that, it seemed like very familiar to me although I've never been there before.
Definitely I want to go there again.
Thanks for sharing, Sergiosaukka! Hope you do get to visit Istanbul and the other beautiful parts of Turkey again soon.
11:55 I would say go to those areas and shop "around" the tourist traps. Yes, the Spice Bazaar and the Grand Bazaar will often charge you more; however, if you walk around them- like Sirkeci and the backroads of Eminönü, Beyazıt and Sultanahmet, you actually might find some good deals on things to take home.
Or you bargain at the spice and grand bazaar 🙂 Turkish seller loved a grant bargain
Bargain man it's the best
Bring back fond memories of my travel days. Miss Istanbul more with all the little "flaws".

The most hospitable country. We love Turkey!
I found out through a DNA test that I am 20% Turkish. So funny, I've always loved things Turkish and and Turkish-like; love these videos: Can't wait to visit!
@Knight Rider So, you're saying that Turks don't have common DNA? What exactly are you saying besides being annoying by disagreeing with what I said when I wasn't even talking to you.
Turks r mongolian they belong to mongolia, and they attacked armenian and greeck land to build there own country there so there's nothing called original turk!
@@suils6191 Turks are NOT Mongolian. Look at a picture of a Mongolian and look at a picture of a Turk, the type of architecture they use, their language. They are different; the "Mongolian/Turk" you are inventing doesn't exist and the Turkish DO exist. They did NOT attack Armenian and Greek land as Mogolians BUT for the sake of argument lets just say they did: The Mongolians conquered almost every land possible during that era; there would have been nothing special about them ALSO conquering Greece or Armenia (which to them was like a spare time weekend operation). They were like the Roman empire. That's like saying that the British and French are a non culture and have no DNA (no life code) because at one time they were Roman. The original Turk is the present day Turk; the DNA code for that is consistent with the Caucuses region and is distinct; NOT with Mongolia, or any other region. So you're wrong. I don't know what purpose it serves you to argue that Turks have no idenity; but I do know such anti ethnic theory doesn't and won't ever prove up. That's why the DNA tests have a Turkish category distinct from Mongolian; they don't over lap. A Mongolian isn't going to come up as a Turk and a Turk doesn't come up as a Mogolian. If Turks have no identiy then no one else in the Caucuses does either. Those overlap more than anything Mogolian. Seriously. lol.
@@vendorcommercialprograms7578 I have no problems with turks and I'm not trying to insult them, they already mentioned that they were come from mongolia even in their series, they were muslims and ran away because of a mongolian violence that's what the history say and that's what I had read about them and what everybody know
@@suils6191 thats not true turks came from where east turkistan is or xijang is, and there are still turks living there, only two big tribes and few smaller tribes moved to the west, others moved to the south and some just stayed, mongols and turks have different tribes and only a few tribes had beef some where okay and there where even mixed tribes

Turkish guys telling Pakistan's about bargaining who learn this skill, from their mothers in their childhood, who are considered master in this field. if anyone tells us price is 150 lira we starts from 10 lira and than final deals is on between 15 to 20 lira that too if we are lone but with ladies it's going to be exactly 10 liras otherwise move forward 😂😂😂😂
I dont care what I pay but just enjoy laughing when bargaining thats the charm love from London x

Hi there, just want to add a point related to bargaining. Please do not, I repeat, do not ask/suggest people to bargain during the pandemic. I was at Ephesus in November 2020 and the way the shopkeepers were requesting us to buy was simply heart-wrenching and NO, they didn't deceive us. Istanbul is an exception since there's an on-going flow of tourists but it's so not the case with Izmir, Ephesus, etc. Cheers! PS: you're more than welcome to visit Pakistan.
