I love the way the queue just shows how comically evil Hightower is. His entire tower is built upon the works of others. His elevator entrance? Stolen pillars from a Roman ruin. His concierge desk? The letter holders are built with Egyptian crypts. Perhaps the best example of how comically just plain evil he is are the many paintings and murals in the lobby, focusing on his “majestic” figure as his lackeys do his job for him. Nobody deserves to be cursed for all eternity, but I think Hightower had a little bit of it coming 😂
According to his dialogue throughout the attraction, he has reflected on his actions and is remorseful, it is just too late for him as the idol has damned his spirit for eternity.
The lore behind this even connects to raging spirits. The story buildup is amazing and to this day my favorite TOT version. The ride itself isn’t as intense as its sisters but it’s the lead up to it makes it the best experience!
@@dirtydiamondmovies I’ve heard on TV Tropes that he bought a curse on the ruins by trashing the place looking for treasure, then cutting the head off of an idol for his personal collection.
While I absolutely love the Twilight Zone theme of the original versions, oddly enough the story of Tokyo’s feels more like a Twilight Zone episode than the original.
Best man in the entire Disney Mythos. If we ever do get Epic Mickey 3, & if it does take place in a mix of all the parks, calling it right now. The C.O.Y. (City of Yesterday)'s Society of Imagineers: 1. Dreamfinder - Creation 2. Harrison Hightower - Adventure 3. S.I.R. - Science 4. Professor J.T. Wu - Nightmares 5. Professor Owl - Arts & Music

Don’t forget the ancient shrine he converted into a fireplace.
The murals also show the angry locals visibly protesting him stealing their stuff.

I think it’s because there was an episode with a similar plot.
I'm glad you finally showed most of the the loading area in its entirety unlike other videos.
I went on this ride last year against my will and I hated every second I was on it. Good job Disney
This was my first time seeing this version. Beautiful queue. I loved preshow. Cool ride.

it's a serious and dangerous horror attraction , but it still has an inpact.

Harrison Hightower III is an disappeared in December 31, 1899 at New York City about Hotel Hightower.

Dawg I never knew that
When I was in Tokyo with my family and we went to Tokyo Disney I was so scared of the tiki dude but in reality I really like it
Did anyone notice Joe Rohde in that ride?
This ride is based on a mystery.
The queue looks like revenge of the mummy.
Florida version still the best.
