Hahahah I actually started tearing up. Kuroshitsuji memories :) ;-;
you see I'm simply one hell of a butler
I first heard this song in high school, when I was swallowed by anime. There was this one time that I binge watched Black Butler as a form of escapism because life is crap at that time. Then, this song played. I felt like I connected with everything in this song, like the persona in this song was someone like me, who's life is a total mess, but unlike me, the persona is not giving up yet.
At that time, I looped this song until I calmed down. Since then, it never failed to save me. Every time I was depressed, or worried, or grieving, I sing this song, or play it in a loop to remind me not to give up yet.
This week, I really thought of ending myself, and this song pulled me back to this world like magic. It became like a mental first aid to me. Yes, I'm still having suicidal thoughts until this second, but every time I feel mentally sick, I just put this on loop.
Becca, thank you for bringing this song into the world. You literally saved my life.

Omg this brings me back to such a peaceful period of my life where watching anime and singing songs was the only thing I cared about , I wish we can rewind time and go back to live at least one day on our past just reliving it without changing anything, during this pandemic I lost important people some died some just lost their mind some others changed i just have to adapt like everyone is doing I guess

the first time i watched kuroshitsuji and heard this song i was 14 and now i'm 26! i suddenly remembered about this song and was so pleased to find this cover here. this will forever be one of my favourite anime endings, thank you becca for this song that will be fondly remembered for many years to come :)

I know it's been years but i am glad that i discovered your music through black butler when I was a high schooler. I fell in love with this song the most because the lyrics hit home. I was in a dark place (being a victim of bullying and academic pressure with more internal battles) I often played this while repeating the lyrics slowly. Now, I am striving to work hard for a second degree while being in a creative industry. I also feel more comfortable being myself and sharing my interests w/o fear. Thank you for being such an inspiration!❤

This is a fantastic version of her song, it really shows off her voice... as the same time, she seems so unhappy.
You can appreciate the lyrics a lot more with this accoustic version, ive been hearing this song since 2016 and just now by hearing this version i stoped and analized the entire lyrics.
