PS He has made a huge contribution to DP, going all the way back to when he joined in 1969 with Ian Gillan. The still-marvellous (and not fully appreciated?) "DP In Rock" in 1970 was mostly his. And there was his active production side too ... An invaluable force.
Gillan & Glover ( Ritchie) turned / turning 79 while Paicey & Don Airey 76 ( Jon Lord wld turn 83 )except for Simon is rocking from the cradle age in comparison but they gelled well.Evolving through the season and age.Just like the Stones,Mcartney and Ringo.Celebrating all of them for their tireless dedication for the of their fans and entertainment industry.Passion in music will keep us young at heart forever.Kudos to Purple!
I agree with you, the band sounds great, but IG struggles with the old songs. They should open with Highway Star, close with Smoke and filll up the set with tunes from Purpendicular and the Bob Ezrin era albums.Gillan should be able to handle more recent songs. Of course that would NEVER happen.
they honestly sound pretty good here. I saw them in 2019 and they sounded like it was over. He's 78 those are some tough song to sing, he sounds pretty damn good for someone who's sung like that for 50 years
Rubbish Ian, Ian and Roger still got it, better than bands years younger, Mr Gillan can still hit the notes, maybe not Child in Time, is why do not do it anymore. Paicey still can stack those drums. Long may they reign.🤟
Great. What a good bassist Roger is, let it be known!

Blackmore led the music of purple while simon step on his shoes.
Love these guys. The band sounds great. But Ian needs to take care of his voice.

@@mikewhiteley641 Hey at least IG gets credit for not using backing tracks.
He does ! He is an learned singer
This is so sad,
Please tell them to stop.
I love Ian Gillan, but he needs to retire gracefully
