- I'd be a fool to not give my go at this fantastic piece.
I've seen people do their own takes and each new Kingdom Hearts game has a new incarnation of it... So why not me?
I didn't want to copy others with crazy piano solo's or the games with their softer approaches. I wanted it to feel heavier and yet still dance a little. In the end I added touches that make it sound my own. I'm very proud of the final product.
The amount of love I have for this franchise is immense and I hope I did it justice. I wouldn't be surprised if I found myself re-visiting this piece again in the future.

This sounds like a version of dearly beloved that plays on the results screen of the final KH game. Somberly reminding you of all the good times, and that they'll live on in your heart despite being long gone.
I'm shocked at how obscure this is. This is fantastic. 8 years late, but great job. :)
Besides knowing Sora because of Smash Ultimate, I have no knowledge of Kingdom Hearts. But this remix is just... Wow. Makes me dream.
You should absolutely try out Kingdom Hearts. The first game is a great entry point into the series, and a great game in general. If you finish the first game and decide you don’t want to continue on, that’s totally fine.

I've heard several remixes but rarely do I hear re-imaginings of fantastic KH songs. Sad that it took me so long to stumble across this. Hope that wherever you are, you are doing well and continuing to make awesome music like this.

You know that might not be such a bad idea. I've been listening to shimomura for so many years now that I feel a bit more inspired to give another crack at one of her pieces, and Dearly Beloved is ripe for interpretation. Thanks for the suggestion.

@@Scylit I agree there's a lot of really good stuff going on sound selection wise but some balance and clipping too. even just to tune the dynamics would be a worthy project.

@@mattcamp480 Hey I just wanted to let you know that I am still working on making an updated version. I finished writing and getting the piece together. It does exist. I'm just working through all the small stuff and getting it all up to my expectations. I really like what I made and I think you will too. I should have it done definitly by the end of the year the absolute latest. Thank you again for planting the seed in my mind to do this.
