What are the VEKTOR System Fins?
Vektor started in 2002 when I was living on Kauai. Ryan started to design a fin with a unique template to improve drive, speed, control, and maneuverability. Ryan drew up a template and got my first prototype made from Island Fin Designs. Ryan rode this template and noticed the difference in the ride right away. It felt really natural and smooth. Ryan knew that this was a solid template. Ryan was amped on it and learned everything that he could about fins and how they work.
There has always been a performance gap between twin fins/quads and thrusters. The knubster concept is a compromise between the stability of the thruster and the speed of a twin or quad. Because we use the smaller Vektor fin as a middle stabilizer, it doesn’t drag as much and therefore doesn’t kill all of the natural speed of the quad or twin. However, because there is something there in the middle of the board to pivot off of, it adds a bit more stability through turns and makes these boards more able to turn hard off the bottom without spinning out.

we've been selling them for about ...4 or 5 years now. We've had many positive reviews. From people that ride just about any type of board including Longbaord and SUP's.

Just let us know what the dimensions, tail, fin set up you are using now. Also let me know if you want to get more Drive (speed and hold thru turn= more spray) or Speed (speed but loose = more top to bottom surfing easier to blow the tail out). - David
