  • Happy Labor Day to everyone! While we wait for Buzzr's Lost & Found, let's watch a November 1984 episode of Super Password.

Hi, it's me, Carla. And boy does that video take me back...& you're correct, I was also on SORC and $25.000 Pyramid.Someone told me she saw Me on BUZZR; my cable group doesn't offer it, so great that it's posted....
Joann Whorly is/was the best celebrity to ever play that game. It was big fun.Going to try for another now that Q & A shows are back.I encourage any one who wants to try to go for it!Lastly, dear gentle man Bert Convey, please rest in peace. You were a doll. Thank you for being so kind.

+La La CARLA! You're wonderful. Loved seeing you on the 80s game shows and good luck on appearing on more in the future. I think you'd be quite a hoot on "The Chase", for what it's worth.

Charles gave away a little tip there. Most game shows that used celebrities, would tape their shows on weekends, since the celebrities would be working on their own shows during the week. Since Charles asked about how the Raiders were doing today, we can assume this weeks worth of shows, was being taped on a Sunday.

They say *"The $25,000 Pyramid"* (CBS) taped its shows on Thursdays and Fridays... I think there were occasions where they taped on weekends, too, though.

Years ago i worked with Joannes Worleys half brother Jay Worley in the mid 80s at Midwest Pipe Coating in Schereville,Indiana for about 4 years. He was always full of fun and loved to party and drink at his favorite bar.He was the kind that everone wanted to be his friend. Then one day a friend of mine informed me of Jays passing.I figured he was in a fight and was stabbed....or shot over a pool game hustle. Then i found out he was killed in a motorcycle accident back in about early summer of 1995 on a curve in D/T Lowell.Jay was a good friend who.....unless you asked him....he rarely talked about his famous half sister.Jay was a great pool player in his favorite bar in Lowell.I video taped his bachelor party back in about 1994 and many of his friends asked me for a copy after his death.I also taped a party his friends held for him at the Legion Hall in about 1995-6.Many of his friends told me stories about the guy and his short life.I will always remember Jay and his laugh. He also had a yell he always did when he was feeling good. His yell sounded like....IIIAAAAAAAAYYYYYOOOOOOOPP.Sometimes at the top of his lungs. We were alway hoping Joanne would show up at his funeral.....but it never happened.I still think of Jay now and then.....im 64 now and still kicking. RIP Jay

Carla was indeed a contestant on $ale of the Century in late 1988. But Jackie later was a contestant on Bill Rafferty's version on Blockbusters in 1987 & was previously a contestant on Match Game in 1982, I do believe.

Rich Jeffries was a horrible announcer, I'm very grateful they found Gene Wood, who had enough experience. He was announcing "Trivia Trap," and "Family Feud," at the time.
