  • Check out our Cote Hair Shampoo and Conditioner review with Erin. This duo is a sulfate-free, vegan friendly options that cleanses without stripping the hair of its vital moisture.
What is the product’s official name?
I tested the Cotê Hair Cleanse Hybrid Shampoo and Cleanse Hybrid 2-in-1 Treatment Conditioner
    What do the directions say?
The shampoo reads, “Emulsify small amount in hands. Massage into scalp. Rinse thoroughly. The conditioner says to “Remove excess water from hair. Apply at the ends of hair working up to the scalp. Leave in 30 seconds for daily use, or 7 minutes for a more intense treatment.”
How did you feel or what did you know about the product before you used it?
I heard about the product but never tried it! I knew that it was vegan friendly with no animal testing, no animal byproducts, gluten-free, sulfate-free and paraben-free, so I was excited to try it.
    What’s your hair type?
    Fine and slightly wavy.
    Did anything surprise you?
I was surprised it was for all hair types. Also, I thought it was cool that you could leave the conditioner in for 7 minutes as an intensive treatment to restore dry, damaged hair.
    What does it smell like?
A fresh, plant-like smell. I’m thinking it’s from the blend of “Argan, Sunflower and Grape Seed Oils with Panthenol, Hydrolyzed Quinoa and Corn Proteins,” but what do I know?
What is the consistency or color of the product?
The conditioner was really thick and extra conditioner-y. :D
What does it feel like in your hair?
The shampoo definitely didn’t create suds, which is why they say emulsify in the hands. It’s a great tip I’ll use for other sulfate-free shampoos!
What change did you notice after using it?
My hair felt really fresh and clean with enough weight to style using minimal styling products. It wasn’t dry and slippery.
Who or what would it be good for?
People who are vegan and love environmentally friendly products. The conditioner also saves you money, because you’re buying a conditioner and mask all in one.
    Would you use it again?
Yes, for sure! Loved the clean, natural scent.
