Im a cabin crew in training right now, seeing this and everything in this video is literally the things i just learned a couple days ago. its fastinating really and it takes a lot of hard work to become a Flight Attendant, the intens training is frustating and stressful, this is not an easy job. Some skills you need Interpersonal skills and good health and fitness are normally more important than academic qualifications, although many airlines do ask for at least five GCSEs (including English and maths) at grade 4 (C) or above. There are also some vocational qualifications, such as NVQs, available that are suitable for cabin crew.

I am in Melbourne, Australia. I have been living here for the last 20 years, and I have applied for cabin crew jobs in different Airlines, I had an interview with Quttar Airlin, but, unfortunately, I was not successful, not only my self about 150 people were there nobody was successful, now I am over 40 it's became a dream for me to get a cabin crews job.

I think you gonna study Introduction to the airline industry and aircraft. Crew member coordination and communication. Customer service and managing passenger interactions. Safety and emergency procedures (with virtual cabin walkthrough - narrow and wide body aircraft)

The reason Cabin Crew always wear watch is for the emergencies on board. and in case of emergency landing during NITS briefing the CC needs to synchronise their watches with the flight crew.

Minimum age requirements typically apply at the time of training completion, so candidates who will reach an airline's minimum age during training can apply for flight attendant roles. I’m actually on a holiday and I was on Qatar airways my return flight is in 2 weeks or so and I can confirm the crew and Arline are the best of the best in everything but most importantly making sure our safety is their top priority and giving us a enjoyable flight the entire flight this is the 2nd time me flying with Qatar airways I will be flying with them in the future highly recommend them a lot

Qatar crew is wonderful and a joy to fly with. I fly with my service dog and they are extremely professional and friendly, ensuring not just my comfort but also that of my working dog. I normally don’t like flying much but I fly in exactly a week with them in QSuites this time. Looking forward to it.

Last year I travelled from qatar to Uganda it’s da best flight ihv ever used
In case of an emergency landing they all have to know how much time has left until ditching on water for example. Also they are not allowed to wear there phones during the flight. When the purser welcomes the passenger at the destination, he also has to say the exact arrival time ☺️

Every cabin crew is required to wear watches mostly for the time but there is also a medical need. Such as for doing a CPR on a passenger they count the number of times of pumps with their watch.
Do take older applicants, I almost completed my training with Euro wings, but I was offered another alternative in Customer service so I decided to go this path. ❤

Cabin crew wear watches to; 1. keep track of changing timezones especially during long hauls thus giving accurate information to the passengers; 2. it's a part of the uniform showing reliability and professionallism which is important to flight safety.
Also for first aid situations…. Need to track the time between any first aid situation… example a pregnanct woman with cramps etc….how many seconds / minutes between the cramps etc…
Or pulse rate… in a minute…

Flight attendants must wear watches to aid them in a variety of emergency scenarios.
If a flight attendant needs to do CPR on a passenger, they can time the pumps with their watch
Keep track of time during the difference phases of the flight (boarding, preparing for take off or landing, etc.)
Watches also look professional when used as part of an overall uniform. It’s very important to airlines that flight attendants look professional and give a great impression of the airline.

Had an open day today 4th June in Trinidad and the recruiter only asked Why I want to be a cabin crew to which I explained my love for customer service and my empathic nature to do unto others as I would want done to myself and those I love and how I related to the company's slogan "Taking you personally" I also look forward to the training and gaining valueable knowledge in health and safety. I was not selected. There were persons there who were already cabin crew who were not chosen. This is in Trinidad so they alone know what they looking for. Also the recruiters looked shabby and dusty so not sure what made them fit to recruit. When asked what can be improved to be recruited the next time this short hair lady with a sort of bob cut who is a recruiter said its a hidden criteria which she can't disclose. Is there such thing as a 'hidden criteria'?? Or is that a loophole for prejudice?

Cabin crew are not for meal service only,they are actually the life saver....they are first aiders, firefighters, security personnel, emergency path assistants, physicists etc and yes ambassadors .... respect them when u interact with them....love them and they will love you more....

It's true that working as a Cabin Crew is not a cakewalk.
It can be difficult, to put it simply, to manage hundreds of people in a cramped environment where many social standards seem to vanish along with the ground below. There are individually unique situations on any given day. It's a part of life that people, including flight attendants have good and bad days, however, the consistent brilliance of crew at Qatar Airways is tough to argue with. Not forgetting to mention how strict they are in their recruitment process, especially with the grooming standards of an applicant would be a 😅

The crew wears a watch in case of any emergencies, especially first aid emergencies. Crew are supposed to note the time when incidents happen and reports it.

I was in the tourist class, and it was comfortable, and also once again I rode and tried the first class, it was comfortable and beautiful, and the chair was round.
