Interesting thought: Max might have suffered in prison but everyone who put him in jail did suffer eventually while he was inside: Ian suffered trying to hide the truth that Bobby killed Lucy and almost lost his wife and friends in the process. Jane suffered as Bobby almost killed her with a hockey stick, plus lost her ability to walk for a year. Phil started drinking again, had a damaged liver and almost died. So if you think about it, they already had their comeuppance throughout 2016, but guess that wasn't enough for Max.
They deserved to suffer. He was no angel but what they did was wrong and only Bobby had the decency to speak up. Glad max ran jane out of town after what she did to Lucy and him. No excuses. And they weren't even protecting bobby
Such a boring return he better end up doing something huge because this returns been hyped for one year and it's looking to be just a normal boring one
