    HuaHua has decided to share his ups and downs with Martians. Crying is a healthy healing process, not an embarrassnent. 😃

    Yes, he really put his soul into the song. So many Martians cried at the scene can prove that how touching. I love this beautiful song. Thanks.

    Wow, just listening to his introduction to the meaning of the song is so heart wrenching. Hua has a way of expressing his feelings in the most beautiful way with music and can break you down. I really hope he can come to terms with his own happiness and not worry about the outside negative influences. All we Martians can do is support him.

    Mars Trilogy he mentioned is I really want to love this world (about Depression), Madhouse (about OCD) and Conversations with Martian childen (express himself with fans).
    The Healing Trilogy this time is I really want myself back, Let's meet when the flowers fall (花落时相遇) and Go, let's watch the sunrise together (走,一起去看日出吧). They are probably released tomorrow and the day after. Wait for your reaction!

    Sorry to say .. but that his mother passed away this summer because of cancer is a rumour. We do know that he had a family emergency, but that is all HCY said aboutvthe matter. I find it a good guideline never to pass on anything about his private life that he hasnt talked about himself. This has also been a Martian guideline from the start.

    • @grandnewworld1010
      @grandnewworld1010 Před 2 lety +13

      I have to agree with you here. He never mentioned anything that the song is about his mother. All he said was that the song was about an important friend who guided him and helped him a lot. Speculations about who this friend is or whether she is alive or not is very uncomfortable for me. What if this friend is still alive? Him kneeling down could have other meanings. Could be paying tribute to his belief. It's not true that all the elements are about the funeral. He mentioned that Martians could be the flowers in the small town. So if you think the fire as in a funeral fire, it's almost sounds like a curse to Martians. That Martians got burned by funeral fires? That's just unthinkable. I don't think that has an iota of truth. There are definitely other explanations. He told us that it has a lot of Buddhist elements. Fire in Buddhism means desire which is the source of pain of human beings, and desire is the source that people take different views. So it's metaphorical with poetic meanings. I really don't think it's talking about a funeral.

    • @meggiewhite
      @meggiewhite Před 2 lety +12

      Exactly. Also, personally I don't get why people are so eager to speculate about very specific, direct answers for a given inspiration of an artist - it only leads to gossiping, speculating and fantasizing about sb's very private life, which I find pretty harmful or at least unnecessairy. Does it really matter at all? If he'd like to share more on it, he would, but he didn't, no need to guess. Yet what he actually did share is this wonderful, touching song - so let's rather focus on w what it does to a listener with his/her own expieriences and sensitivity.

    • @Wkd183
      @Wkd183 Před 2 lety +7

      You are so right. Unless you hear it directly from Hua Hua, there’s no reason to speculate and guess what or who he is talking about. I have to admire him for his strength in silence throughout all the cruel intentions of harming his reputation. Such a shame evil tends to get more publicity than good. So grateful for the Martians who stand by him. Hope that international Martians recommend his videos to reactors and comment so that they are encouraged to view more of his videos. He deserves worldwide recognition for his artistry in music.

    He never mentions anything about his family if you don't ask. The lyrics refer to some stuff that will only appear in the traditional funeral and is used in memory of someone that had passed away. At the end of the song he kneeled and made a kowtow. People in China don't do (or never do) this to a friend. But they do this for parents. And this usually happened when a parent passed away.

    • @grandnewworld1010
      @grandnewworld1010 Před 2 lety +5

      Sorry but I have to disagree. He never mentioned anything that the song "Flower in the Small Town" is about his mother. All he said was that the song was about an important friend who guided him and helped him a lot. He also mentioned that Martians can be the flowers in that song. It's quite strange to say Martians are the flowers that bloom in the fire of a funeral. Most martians will think that's like curse. Speculations about who this friend is or whether she is alive or not is very uncomfortable for me. What if this friend is still alive? Him kneeling down could have other meanings. For example it could be be paying tribute to his belief. It's not true that all the elements are about a funeral. There are definitely other explanations.

      @irislpiano880 Před 2 lety +5

      @@grandnewworld1010 he not only kneeled. If he only kneeled, that may has other meanings He also did a "Kowtowing"after he kneeled. In China, in the past, people only made the action of kowtowing to emperors and their parents. Nowadays, the only occasion for this action is to show the remembrance of their parent who had passed away. No one would do this to a friend or any one else, nor do they do this to a person who is alive..... If their parents are alive, normally people would not do this to their parents neither. And in lyrics "幡"is not a word that would appear in our normal live. This character always connects with "spirit" or "soul" or "ghost". And sometimes appeared in traditional funeral (usually the eldest son holds it in the funeral) in Hubei Province. That's why ET in China all know it is not only a "friend". No one would "kowtow" to a friend.
      But if you do not know these traditions. You think is about something else, that's fine. People always think differently about Hua's music. And that's normal.

    • @grandnewworld1010
      @grandnewworld1010 Před 2 lety +2

      @@irislpiano880 I know these traditions well and these traditions are seldom practiced nowadays. Rather western style funeral is more common. What people have ignored are Hua Hua's own words. He said that the song was about Buddhist practice and used may Buddhist elements. The long banners could be banners of Buddhists 。For example it's explained that if you hang Sutra Banners, it's believed to be a way to practice. " 挂经幡的功德 经幡经由风吹一次的功德就难以估量。将经幡置于雪山上,是令山上的生灵业障清净、得以往生西方净土的方法;". He mentioned that the song describes an Ascetic monk on a journey. and the song is about an important friend who gave him guidance. He could be kowtowing to his spiritual guider such as the Buddha (or his friend who gave him guidance, he may relate to his friend as a teacher, because only a teacher can guide him. He used the word 教导, that means words from a teacher. People do kowtow to their teachers, especially whom had helped to reshape his spiritual life.).. They used some metaphors but nothing has to be interpreted as in a traditional funeral that few people practice now. He said that his friend helped him a lot. I assume that's to help him to heal. however, there is something that he longed for that he couldn't find. It's a mirage after letting go. Letting go of normal attachments.

      @@grandnewworld1010 i disagree with you, thosetraditions are still applied. Every year i go with my family, we still do those thing to my grandfather. And i said now one kowtow to friend and no one do that to slmeone who is alive. If you insist, thats fine.

      After HuaHua noticed that many Martians commented that the song is referring to his mother, he tried to stray them away from thinking so and he did say that "Martians can be the flower in that song". So let's leave it at what HuaHua said, we all know how private he is.

      No, like he said before performing it, just about those times when he was struggling with himself, like under quite much pressure, work and etc.

    • @grandnewworld1010
      @grandnewworld1010 Před 2 lety +6

      @@carlylombard He told us that it was about a period of time around 19. He was under enormous pressure from all fronts. He did gave some clue: "Too much paraded into my realm in the name of love", " Please treat everything with kindness even if they are not mine". At that time, what happened was that either some commercial competitors or commercial representatives from his own company pretended to be his fans. They constantly attacked Hua's close collaborators like his concert organizer and assistants in the name of "love". That's what I can think of. Of course only he knows what really happened. But this the background of that period of time he is talking about in the song. He is all fine now as he gradually sort out everything and well adjusted. But at that time, when he wrote the first Mars Trilogy, he was really depressed.
