Using a wood conditioner works wonderful too, apply before the stain.
Yes, I use the conditioner. Kind of skipped talking about that part.

The stained archway is GORGEOUS! I would be so inspired by that I would want to strip all of the trim throughout the house. It would look so beautiful if you did that. It brings such warmth to your home. It looks like a brown cherry as opposed to a red cherry. All your hard work is worth it!

Hello Bev, at the time your video came out on Sunday, we were having a tornado touch down in our area so I had to stop watching and try to be safe; we lost power, still no power yet, it was pretty bad and scary but thank God we are all safe and fortunate with no damage unlike some neighbors.
