fuck dude. adtr was the band i was most excited to see. i remember they came out, kicked out downfall of us and i lost my voice for the entire weekend lol. seeing these guys in person is a huge highlight on my life. i was almost all the way up front to the right. i surfed all the way up when they were in the middle of the plan to bomb the panhandle. man, that weekend was 🔥. i remember me and my buddy sam had to sleep in the bed of my s10 with a tarp over us the whole weekend because we couldnt afford a hotel room. it was very uncomfortable. needless to say we had no sleep those past 3 days. first night we stayed in a walmart parking lot then the second night we stayed in the dirtiest ghetto ive ever seen. we literally only ate like 2 small things the entire weekend. had a drug addict come up to us in my truck and asked us where they can score some hard. got lost walking around columbus trying to find where i parked my truck. we fell asleep on a mcdonalds lawn for about 20mins because thats where everybody went after a night ended there. we had no money, our clothes were wet, ran out if cigarettes the first day, and had hardly any gas to get home. i did get us home all the way back in akron with literally no gas left in my tank. we were under prepared big time going to this festival. but honestly ive never had so much fun in my entire life. i got to see almost all my favorite bands and i met some very amazing people. this was the best weekend of my life. one ill never forget
I thought they were just fine considering everyone being waterlogged from braving 7 previous hours of temps in the 40s and rain being blown in sideways. I was on the other side where my hundred pound daughter took off on the outer part of the circle with me in chase. I barley was able to snatch her up and yank her out before she got mauled, good times!!
i was on the floor for all the bands set this set was the only one you could barely even move i was literally stuck standing im surprised it was that big
just curious.. how many bands play at once during self help? at this time it was ADTR on the main stage, megadeth on side stage A and Butcher Babies at side stage B...

Yeah the crowds at ADTR shows nowadays are disappointing to say the least.
