You do know a block doesn't count as a rebound. Most of y'all been watching too much NBA with all those jump shooters and forgot how bigs played back in the day. Shaq, David, Mourning, Barkley, etc all kept fighting for positions, grabbing their own misses, getting blocked, and still fighting to get the ball to score. Hate is why America is on its last leg. Well The Sky & The Liberty both had B2B games yesterday . The Sky beat Dream 78 - 69 while The Liberty beat The second strongest team currently in the league which is The Sun by 71 - 68.
so it was a battle of endurance & fatigue in this game & The Liberty just wanted the win more tonight.
Great game! Yes, I hate this scheduling for these women with these games back to back. Even with charter flights, traveling and playing is rough.

Neither team wants it more than the other. That goes with each team in the league. This game came down to team veteran leadership, experience and overall talent and the Liberty had that advantage. The Sky will get there in the next few years, they have the talent just have to build more and grow.

They are no longer the tallest on the court or so much taller than everyone else that they can't be blocked or out rebounded by the bigs and mediums who do get off the floor. You have to be a dedicated athlete who develops new skills and improves the existing ones or you will not make it in a league of the 144 top players in the world (minus the Russians). Forwards and centers in the W have to use their full athleticism.

Chicago has already beat NY this season FYI. Also, this was the Fever’s 4th time playing NY this season. NY won 3 of the 4 (you have to expect that the Fever would win eventually, right). Then, the very same Fever team that you’re bragging about turned right around and lost to the Mystics. Additionally, NY’s guards are significantly weaker on the defensive end than their post players (which is why Chicago’s “mediocre” guards did so well and their bugs struggled). The recovery of a blocked shot is a rebound. You can be credited with a blocked shot, and a defensive rebound, in the defensive side of the field, if you recover the ball, after all a blocked shot is considered a miss shot.

Wow amazing performance by whole New York Liberty tonight. This was a physical and mental tough game tonight by the end of the night the New York Liberty won the game against a Chicago Team. This was a great night for the following players Jonquel Jones with 18 points 13 rebounds and three assist. Breanna Stewart with 19 points 4 rebounds and 6 assists. Sabrina with 21 points six rebounds and four assists. Feibech with 13 points and four rebound.And Kayla Thornton with 16 points and multiple blocks. And few things that have to improve on and the coaching staff can work with them is Jones fouled out the last two games instead of commiting fouls. She is more then capable of drawing fouls herself and getting to the Free through line she belongs in this league and she has and she can prove it every night she belongs on this team. And Sabrina needs to continune have higher shooting percentage than 35 she more than capable of doing it. She recently did it this past liberty game and I definitely believe she can do it. But this New York Liberty team is an elite and dangerous 3 point team and in the inside the paint team as well. They have skill and the desire to go out to prove it every night. They definitely beat Las Vegas aces showing this game that they were the better team. And avenging their previous lost to Chicago on May 21st.They need to continue focusing on playing team basketball. And not listen to what the commentary are saying during their games every night and afternoon.

Isabelle Harrison came off the bench and played 28 mins to Reese's 30 and was 12-12 to Reese's 10-10 without blocks that never touched the backboard or rim, and no mention of her, she could easily start and likely be just as productive if not more if allowed to play more.
CHI played a helluva ball game til the last qtr. Been saying it all yr; they got ALL this talent that's got pop & potential written all over it but they struggle so repetitively to produce high-percentage offense late in games & this NY team isn't the 1 to do that against. After watching this game Reese is good but, she clearly not even the best player on her team, she clearly only trying to stat pad, tonight she looked out of shape and clueless at times…getting consistent 10 points and 10 rebounds(4 of them was from her own blocked/missed shots) to me is not impressive unless you can create your own shot! Unfortunately she doesn’t have a post up game either! Clark is the clear ROTY in my opinion ESPN!

@bobedwards7455 how, she led an entire league in rebounding at 6'3 and 165 lbs. She may need rest, rookies not only have to get used to the league bit playing a full schedule during the summer, this is normally their rest time. It's not always about physical rest, but mental rest as well.

The second Resse got the 10th rebound they put Cardoso back in. If she would have played in the maybe it would have made a difference. They could have used her size. Sky play best when they are both on the floor so why not have her out there.

My preference is Reese she play both sides of the floor, she's expanding her game with mid range & 3pt shots. Caitlin is a good shooter, ok passer but she turns the ball over too much & very little defense. Both of their teams treat them as meal tickets with their records. Most rookies do not get playing time. Enjoy the games
