PORCELAIN DOLL COLLECTION STARTED IN THE 80s

- I have been collecting these dolls since the 1980s and did have around 90 in my last home but now only 40 as they are kept in a long but narrow (one metre wide) walk in wardrobe along with my Barbie collection and also Monster High and Ever After High, which I will do videos of soon.

Hi. Thanks. Her name is Sugar Britches. She is the one and only that I made . She was made from scratch including her clothes at class over a 6 week period. I made the body, painted the face, had it fired, inserted the eyes and sewed the wig from hair strips. I had no pattern for the clothes so they took me ages to get them right.

I love your collection! Absolutely beautiful! I have been collecting Antique porcelain dolls for awhile now and have about 24 dolls or more, I haven’t actually counted recently. But I love my dolls so much! Don’t think I’ll ever stop collecting! 💕

The brands of my dolls are: PRIMROSE HILL, JAN MACLEAN, ASHTON DRAKE, HILLVIEW LANE, HOMEART and many unbranded cheapies. The only one I made was the small sitting baby like doll in the apricot dress.

The reason why I’m asking is because I had that exact same doll !! My grandmother bought her for me and I lost her in my move :( I’ve been trying to find another one since !!!
She is Rapunzel but I cant remember any more details. She was not an expensive doll, around $30 from a chain store around about 2005. Sorry I dont have any more details.

Thanks for your comment. As they were nearly all purchased new, I just kept their hair in great condition as only on display. A lot of these dolls were purchased in the 90s, just from local gift shops and the like.
