It is hard to tell the difference between the sedan and the hatchback when looking just at the side view. Honda did a great job in improving the interior of the Civic with this latest generation.
This was a brilliant review for the LX model. Thank you, sir.
best review on youtube, keep it up!
Looks very sharp, i love the black and blue ones! Thinking I'm going to get black when i buy one of these
I prefer the seats folding in one piece nice good review
Thank you so much for making this video
First of all, the pricing are worth it when you do get the high trims. Second, you do get split folding seats in EX and up. Also you can fold the seat down in the LX as well.
Nice review!
I just bought this car with 205k miles and it drives good. Very responsive and tight handling
I have the Honda civic 17 lx and I’ve been out of town with my this car and it drives like a charm I would recommend if it’s your first car I’ve had it for 4 years and still great engine is not loud even with years of going out of town
This car with the 6 speed manual can accelerate from 0-100 just under 8 seconds 7.8 seconds it's pretty cheap and called a base model car
Feels like my kind of car (not the CVT)
Wife has this model Civic, the fm radio reception has lately gone bonkers, it has not Shark Fin or Rod antenna on the Car, where is the antenna located on this vehicle? Seems when she had the front window glass replaced, the reception has been bad, but there dosn't seem to be anything for reception in the front window. Help is appreciated.
Test drove one of these. Bought a Honda fit. The interior in the civic is a little bit nicer but it doesn't warrant the 2000 extra dollars when most of the equipment found here is standard on the fit lx
That horn just kills it for me
Civics have always had wimpy sounding horns. I have driven a 1st generation (belonged to a friend), and owned a 4th generation, two 5th
generations, and a 2nd generation Integra....all sounded like toy cars. Probably one of the easier modifications you can make to a car, though.
thank you! nice one!
UNFORTUNATELY MALAYSIA DON'T HAVE 2.0 CIVIC 2017 BUT WE AVE 1.8 , 1.5 & TYPE R.
2017 LX has manual volume knob but other models don't? is that what I'm seeing?
Possibly getting this as my first car hope it's good for beginner drivers
Shit man i've been driving a 2002 chevy cavalier for 4 years & looking to make this my upgrade. Should feel lucky for you to have this as a first car, honestly.
DonTdroWn same, this is my first car that my parents bought, hope it does good 😊
JoshuaWashua lol I would've been ok with something cheap that way if I wreck it, my parents wouldn't kill me but hopefully nothing happens with this one
I Just bought one this and one Camry 2018 SXE , this kinda smoother than the Camry, this definitely a good car
@@Nala_1230
My first car was a 14 year old 1955 Plymouth with 2 speed TorqueFlight automatic transmission and no power steering or brakes. It was actually a step UP from the car that I learned to drive on, a 1949 Plymouth with "3 on the tree" manual transmission.
Very high residual value, great lease ! 3yr/36,000m Leasing is the way to drive new.
Ima gonna buy this car soon and i wanna mod it
What about the Toyota Corolla iM?
Nice Review. Thank you!
I'm confused, I've been looking into the 2017 civic for awhile now but everyone I've seen has that crappy touch screen volume control. Is it because I'm in Canada? Or is that enertainment setup a feature that comes with the lx?
Jacob Monteiro Canadian base models come with better standard features than our models, I have the lx and I don't have the touch screen which I like better
Are you going to do a review of your Honda Accord??
Do the 2018 LX seats go down in the back
I'm 6.3 I'm pretty big but my friend has a 1978 Honda civic school and It has no room for me will this for me
Uhh, I’m from Elk Grove, CA 0:13 You from Elk Grove too?
It's a shame they don't offer blind spot monitoring on the base Civic. Even the base Mazda 3 offers a package that includes BSM. The rear blindspots on the new Civic are awful, and I don't want a sunroof so the EX is not an option. I've owned a '97 Civic for 19 years and it's been nothing short of reliable. I'm in the market for the next few months and I keep going back to the Mazda....
P w Look behind your shoulder , problem solved. Is it too hard to do that?Lol, people these days
Nasman that’s why they offer lane watch, a camera on the mounted on the right side mirror, shame they’ve been discontinued
Does this car have aux output?
I want to buy it!
I want that CRZ but Ik it’s to late
They should bring this engine to the hatchback next year. I don’t want that gas diluted engine from that 1.5 turbo
Totally agree. Literally about to buy a 2016 civic ex yesterday. Then I saw the 2017 lx 2.0 Does that mean this engine is not diluted #scottykilmertoldmeso
Can the push button start system be installed/bought if it doesn't come with the car??
Cameron, please do a review of a 2003-2006 Lincoln Navigator. Thanks.
He'd have to find one first lol, It's not like he can just request a car and get it.
Canadian version of Lx has better standard features
Pat TheHombre as a Honda engineer for Civic,i want to inform is for Civic mother company is HONDA. Canada
The Canadian LX Sedan has (That the American LX doesn't have) :
- The Larger infotainment screen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
- The full digital dash information display (speed/time/temperature/RPMs...).
- Heated front seats.
- 60/40 fold down rear seat with a fold down armrest.
The American LX Sedan has (That the Canadian LX doesn't have) :
- Tire Pressure Monitoring System.
No keyhole on the trunk, there a trunk pull cable beside the seat levers?
There is a trunk button on the drivers door under the door handle and there is also a button on the key fob
Does this model have android auto?
Bob Blesius Not in the base model LX. It’s found in all other trims of the Civic.
I wish there were less car owners in La county. its kind of a drag driving here
Remember the days when the Civic was a COMPACT vehicle ? Guess the uglier FIT is the only compact Honda in 2018.
The only thing great about the civic lx is the fuel saving aside from that it lacks a tons of features that the corolla offers in its most basic trim sorry Honda an sticking with Toyota.
No manual transmission option on the Toyota. That's a huge feature that they're missing and the reason I'd never buy one.
Read or watch any decent review of the Corolla and some other Toyotas and the reviewer will often mention that Toyota has pinched pennies somewhere. As far as the interior? Toyota uses cheaper materials in those places you would not notice on a casual/ pre-purchase test drive. Things like hard/harder plastics in the rear part of the interior.
In fairness, this doesn't crop up in tests of the Camry/Avalon or any Lexus vehicles.
BTW, Toyota does offer a manual transmission in Corollas, but they are about as easy to find as a pink unicorn.
Dead channel alert?
Noooooooooo...
CVT👎
6 spd👍
EWWWW!!!!!!!!!! I hate these this generation of this car! XDDDDDD
thank you! nice one!
thank you! nice one!
Saw the wacky waving inflatable tube man in the background. You should do a video all about him.
It’s already been done
