  • In this first episode I look at the route from Uxbridge back to Rayners Lane. This effectively completes my look at the western end of the former District Railway and current Piccadilly Lines. Originally planned by the District, the branch was built by the Metropolitan.

    The expansion of Metroland was totally responsible for the extension of the tube system through out the London area. It's a shame only the major conurbations think in this way. Smaller cities seem to just muddle along allowing the car to be king and avoiding the introduction of an integrated passenger system. Super video Mr Boogie, well done. 🤓

    I have been to Uxbridge and it’s quite a nice station. Very nice station.

    It's interesting to not that Cockfosters Station is virtually identical to that of Uxbridge in terms of design. Nice video as always though BT.
