This is the first video we have seen of yours and we are incredibly disappointed. Comments on “weird furniture” or the piece around the mirror and tile? You did a disservice to this resort in this video. Even if it “doesn’t work for (you)” you’re forgetting to outline the culture and what a resort and pieces like this represent. This room/resort not only has culture for the destination but quite a bit of history if you bothered to look it up or even ask. The goal when showing a travel vlog is to let the viewer understand the vibe you get along with amenities and service. Not to disrespect the culture in a country in which you are a foreign to. The point of travel is to embrace culture. Not shame it. We lost a lot of respect for you as a travel critic/vlogger watching this. Do better. Sincerely, Fellow travelers/agents
Hi Sam, thanks for taking the time to provide feedback - which I respect but disagree with. I'm a hotel reviewer - that's stated in the title of the video. Reviewers have points of view and positive and negative comments. A restaurant critic would say if they liked or didn't like a dish - regardless of who cooked it - at home or in a foreign country. I think you'd see in our other St Lucia vidoes we are very positive about the island and the wonderful people we met there.
I actually appreciate your review because I do have a thing about furniture and decor especially at their price points. I travel often. I think I will pass.
I’m having the same opinion, I’ve been to resorts with top notch decor and I’m looking for this secluded, breath taking views, but the decor.. makes the place feel super outdated that would run for 60 bucks a night in the u.s (of course minus the view) it’s the view that’s holding the price tag, and I don’t know if it’s worth it? It’s a hard decision, beautiful view? Or new resort
I agree... it's hard to look past the decor at this price point. My sense is you'd be happier at Sugar Beach, and go to Ladera for sunset drinks and dinner to enjoy the view. Good luck and enjoy
Could i please ask if the hiking trails i see on video are available to non guests? Even if they are to pay the hotel to access? Please let me know if you know!
I don't know for sure. The restaunt is open to non guests - you could alway grab a drink at the bar or have a meal and then just take a hike after b/c once you are in the restaurant you are on the property and should be able to walk around freely.
Hi sorry I don't have a record of which room I was in. But I do have a record of the room type, "Room Type: Petit Piton Suite with Private Heated Pool "
Going end of this April. Staying in Heritage Suite. One of the higher end rooms. Booked with travel agent who found us a deal on Black Friday. Buy 3 Get 3 free. About $7500. So about what you paid but your room wasn't the higher end room. Can't wait.
That's the only lux hotel we missed - we were in SL end of December and early Jan and as I recall Jade M was running $4k a night - it's so outrageously expensive. I'm skeptical it's worth close to that - but I don't know for sure.
By the way - in my humble opinion I think the Ladera is overpriced too - I've been at Aman resorts that are cheaper and 3x better - how much is the view worth - pretty subjective I guess. Good luck

Excellent review as usual! Thank you for taking all the time you do to share details as well as your own personal opinion. So helpful.
Appreciate your comment - thanks!
This is my favorite place to stay in St. Lucia. And it is true that children are NOT allowed.
Thanks - great to have viewer feedback! Thanks for watching
Thank you for your thorough videos! I love how detailed you are...I'm particular about pillows also lol
Ha - nice to know that's appreciated - seems crazy to me to pay tons of money for a hotel and get a bad pillow/bad night's sleep!
I actually appreciate your review because I do have a thing about furniture and decor especially at their price points. I travel often.
I think I will pass.
Yeh me too... furniture and that kind of attention to detail is so important.
Thank you, for your review. 👌👌
My pleasure!
Stunning view!
Thx gregy

Is there air conditioning in the room? What’s the temperature?
NO AC that I remeber but u have an open wall, fans, and are on top of the hill so lots of sea breezes.

@@SwankGuide thank you so much! I will definitely look into it. It looks so beautiful in your video
Thanks for the video. Which room did you stay in?

@@SwankGuide thanks for the response. My wife and I booked a room! Love the honest reviews.
@@mrtran8907 have a great time. Suggest a dinner at Hotel Chocolat -aka Rabot Hotel across the street one night. Have a great time!

Have you stayed at Jade Mountain? How would you compare the two
