I love how physical Audrey II is in this sequence - and how Seymour doesn't even flynch, even as he's picked up, or he's arguing RIGHT into the plant's big, fangly mouth.
Despite the typo, I agree so hard that I wish I could like this comment more than once.
I mean..he can't eat him. He needs him.

I love how "you're gonna get it" is really emphasised, not just to be extra persuasive, but it also kind of forshadows how Seymour does get what's coming to him (death lol)

my favorite part to this will always be the plants mouth. it's amazing, especialy how well his mouth synces up with the audio
Especially when you find out how they did it. rick had to act at partial speed so they could speed up footage later to get the mouth of the plat to move fast enough for such fast songs and speaking parts.

Meanwhile, my favorite part is the face Audrey Two makes at 3:58. He looks so adorably... I don't know, unamused and flat all at once. I can't even describe the expression, it's just adorable. XD

I remember watching this animatic so long ago, it was so fun to watch when after all these years I still distinctly remember how you drew Audrey II as so dead faced when Seymour sang about his strong reservations. That part kills me every time! Glad to see your animatic is as timeless as the musical. :]

My school did an amazing performance of this with a giant puppet (it's an art school so we've done stuff like the hobbit with a giant Smaug with glowing eyes and smoke) and I wish I had a video of it. This brings back awesome memories of it. Look up the Osceola County School for the Arts though, maybe there is a video somewhere, idek, but thanks for bringing back awesome memories! I love your style waaaaaay too much!

After little shop became my comfort musical back in 2019, I saw your feed me animatic. Today in 2023, this is STILL so nostalgic to me and has SO MUCH unique imagery that goes into it. I love how you animated this entire song- from seymour being this sweet guy failure at the beginning while still having some amount of sass to him, visual gags to lighten up how sad things get (orin and audrey so focused on themselves they don’t even pick up on the fact that seymour is LITERALLY UP IN THE AIR) while still leaving the most impactful parts serious for impact (seymour watching audrey getting smacked by orin), so on and so forth.
You’re also phenomenal at drawing audrey 2, which i cant imagine was easy!!!!!!
Point is that this silly animatic still brings me joy to this day, and is still an inspiration for me working on art.
Don’t know if you’ll see this, but regardless, thank you for contributing to my unbeatable love of this musical ❤️❤️❤️

I liked the movie enough, but this scene was just a whole lotta closeups there, haha. Props to them though, it must've been hard to film it regardless because they had to operate the puppet slowly and had to film in slow motion :v
Well when you have 50 people controlling a puppet, the actor acting at partial speed, and a whole lot of movie magic needed to get audrey life like, its hard to get the scenes perfect. Alan Menkan did the music so I like the music in the movie. Unsure if he did the music for the muscial too. They sound similar enough.
