Italian K-FOR troops have arrested an armed Kosovo Liberation Army soldier in the southern Kosovan city of Pec.
The arrested man was brandishing a gun and grenade on the streets.
K-FOR is trying to cut violence in Kosovo by ridding the streets of weapons.
Under the terms of the Kosovo Liberation Army's (KLA) demilitarisation agreement, its men are not allowed to carry arms in public.
Italian K-FOR troops arrested an armed K-L-A man in the southern city of Pec on Friday.
The man was brandishing a gun and grenade in the street.
Friday's arrest comes at a time of high tension between returning ethnic Albanians and the remaining ethnic Serbs in Pec.
The city is an important centre of the Serbian Orthodox church, but it is now almost empty of Serbs.

This is sad to watch, the way they were handling situation, very unprofessional, and this scenario was PROBABLY MADE FOR PROPAGANDA, guy was wearing uniform and it was very easy to spot him and THEY NEVER DID ANYTHING WITHOUT ORDERS, they were very poorly train but were very obedient so most (99%) of their actions were planned by their superior, and if they didn t listen well if this guy was later in hospital then we can be sure that he did this on his own.
He is not resisting so there is no need to drag him around, they didn t search him first and remove his weapons, later while he was removing his weapon he was holding his gun with his finger on trigger and rest of the soldiers were in crossfire so if something goes wrong they would most likely have friendly fire.......

That day ethnic Serbian were returning to the city, an order was issued that KLA soldier had to forfait their guns. This one was found with a gun a knife and a hand granade. From what the soldiers are saying the KLA man pointed a gun to an Italian soldier and assaulted him (I don't know what exactly happened, maybe he was to be searched, resisted and then threatened the Italian with the gun). I think the response shown in the video is more than justificable, especially as the 1999 Italian army wasn't the professional peace force it is today, and that soldier is a Bersagliere, not a Carabiniere (which are military police), also they checked him for weapons and then carried him to the nearby police station were they checked him better with the help of the MP. If someone threatens you the security is never enough. One last thing, Italy was supporting the indipendence of Kosovo, if they did this to a KLA soldier there must be a reason
