Asuna taking so long to arrive actually does make sense. At this point, the Underworld is running on 1000:1 time compression, so 1 second in the real world equals 16:40 in the Underworld. Just taking a few seconds to initiate the STL means hours pass on the battlefield.

It’s the reason why nobody irl or in any age, would ever use dual great swords, with at most, being short swords. even fiction people like Radann in Elden ring, don’t do it, since it’s not worth it, and even tho his great sword are big, their relative to his body, Kirito’s is literally the same height as his swords :/ even if it gave more damage, most people don’t do that. The fact kirito was able to do that, speaks more testament to his own delusions, and how accustomed he became to the world, and a foreshadowing to the ability of being able to warp it, which is why he’s so OP. (Like Yuuki did due to being inside the world 24/7) Yeah, SAO Kirito Is plot armor man, but when you take in the web novel + the anime, kirito is just a dude, who shut himself in, and sacrificed most of his life to gaming, which got him entrapped inside of the game, and got him so accustomed to it that he began to be able to alter it. (Even if we believe him to be a advanced NPC) Kirito and asuna are barely 18 inside of current continuity, and seeing and experiencing so many of their friends die has skewed their sense of reality, even if we believe it hasn’t. Eugeo technically is the first close death kirito has ever felt besides Sachi, since back then, he was helpless to the massacre, here, he could do something, but his body couldn’t hold on. He has survivors guilt, and it culminates in him trying to rip out his own heart this season, thinking he wasn’t good enough, and that he doesn’t deserve to live, not because he murdered, but because he couldn’t save everyone, and couldn’t keep his promises. He had despaired. but Eugeo (or what’s left of him.) reaches out, and tells him to live, and that’s what leads him to the end of alicization. This is for those who want to know about Kirito and some of the characters sudden power-ups. If i remember correctly, Kirito power up after he woke up was because of how the Underworld power system works, authority and imagination. Basicly in the Underworld you can gain more authority easily( The Underworld equivalent to levels) from taking lives as shown when Quinella was gaining authority from killing those fox looking creatures (the main reason she made killing taboo was to ensure no one can surpass her own authority) and if you kill someone with more authority than you, you'll gain that person's authority levels. So since Kirito was the main one to defeat Quinella he gain her authority, giving him access to the abilities Quinella had. There are probably other ways to gain authority levels other than killing most likely practice and education, I dont remember the anime showing much of that though. Imagination is the biggest reason why some characters have sudden power-ups as Kirito explain in that ep where he dueled the First seat, in the Underworld imagination can play a big role in how strong someone can get in the Underworld. I dont read the LN though this so if there's anything wrong pls correct me, have a good day everyone:).

SAO is truly the definition of "brain off have fun" I love SAO bc of how absolutely nonsensical the story is. Pokémon has better story writing ! But even if the characters and story are one dimensional, it has its own dumb charm that I love. Don't get me started on the fights either, whatever season it is (aside from s1 p2) they're all just amazing and over the top. The best way to sum up SAO is as the most anime-like anime ever.
I don’t know, memes and jokes of bloggers about bad writing/brain off are one thing, and objective reality is another. Bad writing jokes have stopped being relevant since Season 2. I have enjoyed your videos, but I also do like the original anime and light novels. Probably a rarity among your fans since many comments seem to be trashing the show. I don't know if you were serious or not regarding not paying attention to why Kirito could fly and do other nigh-impossible things. One poster started describing it regarding authority. And he touched on the main thing using imagination. It is called the incarnate system and it was talked about in the anime, but fleshed out more in the LNs. While not the same as Neo in the matrix there are some similarities. But what I wanted to mainly say is that Alicization is what really starts to link SAO to Reki's other big series, Accel World, which also uses the incarnate system but to a lesser level, along with several other links. The anime was sadly cut short as it only got a few episodes before the series really picked up.

Came here (12-12-22) after finishing the last episode of SAO Alicization WoU. Wanted to know what others thought of it. Lol, especially since my man DraconisMarch quit making CZcams videos disparaging SAO. Lol, watching these types of videos making fun of/critiquing SAO really makes me aware of just how non-sensical this anime actually is. It's similar to the first season of Yu-Gi-Oh! where all the card effects were made up, Lol. That said, I totally agree with you at the end whereas, I also will normally always enjoy watching a bit of SAO, even if I have to turn my brain off to watch it. Lol, just watching Jesus-kun and his harems Lol. The whole concept really kind of ***** with your head, kind of like the Matrix did. I found it weird how they actually went ahead and made Alice Zuberg into an android with a robot body. That was bizarre. Just finished watching War of the Underworld today. I absolutely loved it. After Death Note all the newer animes sucked (constant comedic relief =-goofy faces/eyes, etc.). Finally a show that is serious, epic and genuinely entertaining.
3:39 Reminds me of the Ascians from Final Fantasy XIV (Then again, so does the whole "Priestess of light" scenario) - Still, close second favourite arc (Maybe would've been first if they kept things true to canon, and had Asuna be the one to bring him back to reality) Eugeo appearing in the Blue Rose sword kinda made sense, because it was likely that some of Eugeo's soul still remained in the sword despite him being dead himself. As for how he survived, don't forget that while his fluctlight was pretty much cooked - it was still intact, so it was kinda evident that by restoring different fragments of his memory... they would've been able to revive him. Still confused as to how Yuna was in the game despite never being revived in Ordinal Scale though

Just finished the series so far Alicization is so good at the start but it feels like they retcon so much stuff in the later half of war of the underworld Their powers are heavily based on belief and willpower but then things just start happening without rhyme or reason

Basicly in the Underworld you can gain more authority easily( The Underworld equivalent to levels) from taking lives as shown when Quinella was gaining authority from killing those fox looking creatures (the main reason she made killing taboo was to ensure no one can surpass her own authority) and if you kill someone with more authority than you, you'll gain that person's authority levels. So since Kirito was the main one to defeat Quinella he gain her authority, giving him access to the abilities Quinella had. There are probably other ways to gain authority levels other than killing most likely practice and education, I dont remember the anime showing much of that though. Imagination is the biggest reason why some characters have sudden power-ups as Kirito explain in that ep where he dueled the First seat, in the Underworld imagination can play a big role in how strong someone can get in the Underworld. SAO is truly the definition of "brain off have fun" I love SAO bc of how absolutely nonsensical the story is. Pokémon has better story writing ! But even if the characters and story are one dimensional, it has its own dumb charm that I love.
Don't get me started on the fights either, whatever season it is (aside from s1 p2) they're all just amazing and over the top.
The best way to sum up SAO is as the most anime-like anime ever.
I don’t know, memes and jokes of bloggers about bad writing/brain off are one thing, and objective reality is another. Bad writing jokes have stopped being relevant since Season 2. I don't understand what it's like to maintain an irrelevant thread. I mean, this show and light novel literally has a "good writing" award, not to mention dozens of other awards. What is the fault of the show if some people watch it incomprehensibly. These are not the show's dumb moments, but some of the viewers who watch the show are clearly not with their eyes and catch lulz with their own ignorance, spreading misinformation.

I don't know if you were serious or not regarding not paying attention to why Kirito could fly and do other nigh-impossible things. One poster started describing it regarding authority. And he touched on the main thing using imagination. It is called the incarnate system and it was talked about in the anime, but fleshed out more in the LNs.
While not the same as Neo in the matrix there are some similarities.
But what I wanted to mainly say is that Alicization is what really starts to link SAO to Reki's other big series, Accel World, which also uses the incarnate system but to a lesser level, along with several other links. The anime was sadly cut short as it only got a few episodes before the series really picked up.

Just finished watching War of the Underworld today. I absolutely loved it. After Death Note all the newer animes sucked (constant comedic relief =-goofy faces/eyes, etc.). Finally a show that is serious, epic and genuinely entertaining.

Eugeo appearing in the Blue Rose sword kinda made sense, because it was likely that some of Eugeo's soul still remained in the sword despite him being dead himself.
As for how he survived, don't forget that while his fluctlight was pretty much cooked - it was still intact, so it was kinda evident that by restoring different fragments of his memory... they would've been able to revive him. Still confused as to how Yuna was in the game despite never being revived in Ordinal Scale though
