- Every way to die in Uninvited for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The death messages here are different than for the DOS and Widnows versions but I can't get them to work on my computer. Anyway, this compilation has EVERY way to lose including ones left on on other, similar, videos. Enjoy.

This game has a great sense of humor. The spider death made me laugh hard. I can just imagine a narrator shouting "well WHATTAYA KNOW, A GIANT SPIDER!"
YOU'RE REALLY BLEEDING
*OH NO!! AXE CUT YOU!!* *DA NA NA NA NA DA NA NA NA NA DA NA NA NA NA DA NA NA NA NA*
That was the funniest part of the game, hands down .
Nothing comes out because you forgot to open the jar. That's just the kind of bullshit I remember adventure games for.
XD ded XD
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) You forgot to open the jar . . .
@@Zeithri =(
That 9:42 death is very underrated.
“Most people die first and then go into a coffin.”
I laughed when the eagle carried away the snake but then comes after you because it was still hungry.
I love how Scarlett O'Hara has the most cheerful music in the game and it's the second threat you face.
Most creepiest
Except, it isn’t Scarlett O’Hara. IT’S A GODDAMN SKELEBONE DRESSED UP AS HER!
sneaky programmers deliberately throwing you off guard
@@cybernautadventurer It's kind of *real,* though.
There have been plenty of witchy women in real life who look *great* until one is in their clutches. Then it's realized, they're only *great sinners* (or are thought to be "a *great danger")* who are aptly described as "black widows."
"...In the shape of a classic ghost..."
Something about that line always made me laugh, and still does.
@7:08 😂😂😂. I love how the game warns you repeatedly to not go down there (a welcome hint in these games) and then it sarcastically snaps at you for going into the spider pit 😂
The game is u stupid son of bitch I TOLD NOT TO GO DOWN THAT ROAD
Well, what do you know. It's a giant spider.
The original version had better text. "The strange woman turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess."
Nexus Six It was actually originally a Macintosh game in the mid 80’s, but yeah. :)
Nah, this is better. (IMO)
I like how Dracan's supposed to be this insanely powerful wizard and all he uses on your character is YEET
If it works, it works. Why expend any force of your own if you can just let gravity and speed do the work?
@@ezekielbaskerville2710 Fair point, but disappointing for the player. I wanted to be exploded or something cool like that.
Imagine that you're a kid playing this game in 1990x. You are alone in a dark room. You are horrified by the game's atmosphere. Your controller is slipping out of your hands. And then.... THERE'S A SKELETON FACE IN TE SCREEN. Guaranteed shock.
That kid was me....... I got so scared at one point my parents almost send me to a psycologist xd
"OH NO!! AXE CUT YOU!! YOU'RE REALLY BLEEDING!!"
"OH NO!! KNIFE 1 CUT YOU!! YOU'RE REALLY BLEEDING!!"
"OH NO!! KNIFE 2 CUT YOU!! YOU'RE REALLY BLEEDING!!"
Oh no!! Box Cutter 34 cut you!! You're really bleeding!!
fastbreak333 Oh no! Angst cut you! You're really bleeding FROM YOUR SOUL!
SpiffyFishface OH NO!! CZcams COMMENT CUT YOU!! YOU'RE REALLY BLEEDING!!
The TFP Channel You know, in retrospect I really regret making that comment.
...Wait shit fuck OH NO! RETROSPECT CUT *yadda yadda death*
+The TFP Channel OH NO!!!!! CZcams COMMENT 2 CUT YOU YOUR REALLY BLEEDING!!!!!!!
This is the only game where I can say I was murdered by Skeltor cosplaying as a Victorian woman
Lol.
“Wat”
-Skeletor
Scarlet O Hara
"The screaming apparition's misty form engulfs you, and you become covered in a thick, sticky goo."
I've seen enough hentai to know where this is goi-
"It's acid!"
Nevermind.
I didn't expect to see any fellow Danganronpa fans here
Hilarious!
Oh no. One normal cat. Whatever shall I do. I guess i'll die.
I got a Axe.....and now what I do? oh yeah, Im using the Axe on sel....
*ded*
Let me axe you a question... How on earth did you think that was a good idea?
@Time Lord Hell if I know, never played the game.
I remember this being a lot more terrifying. This made me burst out laughing
Maybe it was one of the PC versions you played.
The PC versions were a lot more descriptive and gory, maybe you played one of those.
i love how much deaths there are
there's pretty much one for every situation so you have to be so cautious like
"i'm gonna step? what if the floor below me collapses and i fall to a pit of spikes? but what if i don't? will something come and kill me if i wait for too long?"
the fucking spider one just feels so passive aggressive I love it
When Skeletor's wife is genuinely more creepy than anything else in this game.
I agree. I have been having nightmares for weeks because of Knife 1. Knife 2 barely even made me scream.
Man, this game's way scarier when you're 5 years old and you don't know what the shit you're doing. Hearing the death music all these years later still puts me on edge though. It's almost Pavlovian or something.
The death scenes aren't scary at all. The only way to make them scary is your own imagination.
+Vandolphvibar09-GamelordPH Back in those days you HAD to use your imagination, you know. I miss those days.
***** Well, I wish I experienced those days. They look way more fun than the games we have now. I am 15 BTW.
+Vandolphvibar09-GamelordPH Yeah, in today's gaming world just about anything and everything can be fully realized and implemented into a game by the developers. There's not much there to stimulate your imagination, so for me they kind of lose something. It's probably why I get so happy when some indie company makes a retro style game like Undertale. And I'm twice your age, by the by.
+gaminggoddess85 another video game scary music was from X-men clone wars soundtrack (sentinel escape)
“Most people die first, then go into a coffin.” The shade!!!!
Lol....most ppl die 1st, THEN go into the coffin
This eerie and disturbing game scared me back in 1991. Uninvited caused me sheer terror the first way I died. By the hands of the Southern Belle who immediately rips me apart while I am frozen in horror...
I feel that certain self-inflicted item deaths like the rapid-aging fruit are there so you don't bite yourself into an unwinnable situation.
Nes version was way more lenient on the player. PC version actually allows you to enter the house without getting the pendant, which just totally fucks you
The 'knife 1' death was scarier than the 'knife 2' death...
Hack Fraud nah honestly the way knife 2 slipped out of the hands made knife 2 more scarier...
Doritosmiling PSN I always thought the sequel outdid the original
They were both the same.
@david crumrine They both did.
the text leaves a lot to your imagination
"Well whaddya know! A spider!"
6:44 similar vibes to in paper mario 2 were the game tries to tell you not to read the ghosts diary
Something about these old graphics really creeps me out. More so than modern horror games.
7:07 - I love how the game basically mocks you for entering the giant spider's lair despite the multiple warnings of not going down there.
My stepdad rented this for me when I was 8. When the Ghost Belle showed up, I freaked out and NOPED out of the game before approaching her.
That was smart of me. Because I'd replay it at the age of 15, and it scared the shit out of me.
Despite having basic interactions, this game feels way creepier than almost all horror games of today. The eerie and unsettling 8-bit soundtrack, as well as making you feel like you're the protagonist in game. With each death being written in a basic creepy manner which makes you feel you're feeling like what the text says is what it defines it. A definite masterpiece of the 80s, hands down!
Added, this game relies on common sense for the most part which isn't too common lately within games.
"You feel a force taking over your mind. You know that it is not your own."
I mean...would a person be taking over their own mind via their own force?
Reading comprehension: It's saying "You know that it (your mind) is not your own." Not the force.
@@endykun Humor comprehension: It's a joke. :P I deliberately misconstrued the phrasing for an amusing interpretation.
Damn, those dogs look pissed!!
Up close, they look like bears.
Well, he did hit the dog.
I purposely would do stupid things to hear the "death music."
For some reason it cracks me up.
'OH!!! As you were fooling around, the axe slipped out of your hand.'
OH NO!! Axe cut you!! You're really bleeding!! It looks like you're going to die here!' lol
I liked some of the NES versions stuff better than the original, like eating the fruit plant makes you age super fast like the plant aged. and how you could actually talk to the O'Hara ghost and zombie hordes and they would reply.
The utter sass when you keep trying to enter the spider pit
"Wow, amazing idea, dipshit. Guess what? REAAALLY BIG SPIDER."
Take a drink every time the player dies.
Well what do you know.
It's a giant spider.
"Oh no!! Knife 1/2 cut you!!"
No, you aren't SUPPOSED to take the ruby. Consider it a trap. Other versions of the game did have the same fate as if you took the ruby but there was no ruby to take. It was just entering the house that started the curse on you.
@Time Lord
Not really seconds but the actions you made.
e.g. you can examine the abyss but Dracan wakes up at the 5th action you made in NES version.
One crucial way to avoid death is not to take the ruby.
awww that skeleton "smiling" fiendishly at you will always make me laugh.
The dude's giving you a warm welcome be thankful about it
That music used to terrify the shit out of me when I was a 7 year old kid
Same
Am I the only one who finds games like this and 'De Ja Vu' creepy? From the text, to the animation to the music they are scary as hell! I know if I played this as a kid I would have had nightmares! God bless Super Mario! Lol
Yes! When they first came out, my brother and me used to totally get freaked out by those type of games! I guess it is the frame by frame format that just pops up in your face in combination with that abrupt music. It's still creepy as an adult lol
Awesome game and creepy for sure when we were going
Young*
To me...the logical transition from Shadow gate and The Uninvited ended up being Amnesia Dark Descent.
"Cheap" huh? The NES version is the only one that you can actually avoid dying in that way by just not doing something. In all other versions, you are timed and will get that death WITHOUT ever getting the ruby.
That's because the other games were designed to have a time limit to them, similar to Shadowgate and the torches. The NES version took the time limit away, but turned it into an item you not only don't need, but kills you in a smaller time span than what the original game's time limit was.
Player: Clean NES
Game: What would you like to clean the NES with?
Player: the sword
Game: you gently slide the sword into the slot, apparently hoping to clean the connection. Suddenly, your entire body hertz as electricity courses through you when the sword hits a live circuit! In seconds you topple to the ground, having died from electrocution.
actually, you can get rid of it in the courtyard, where you can see the greenhouse, the church and the other building, just pick it up, and drop it at the grass
02:47
This next few seconds perfectly describes how you feel at work
You REALLY don't want to go down there.
There's a spider that's bigger than a breadbox...
Lol! What do you know.....it's a giant spider!
oh no! knife 2!
What ungodly time signature is that non-ruby related death music?
1:10 Legend has it they never forgot to open bottles before using them again 😂
WTF??!!! "MY PRECIOUS"??!!! AT 80-...?!!
I skip many rooms and I am glad I am watching this because I just found a walktrough and it was more like a speedrun. :( I did not go to all of the rooms it seems. By the way the zombie horde on 8:46 is the best one for me!
The reality of the drowning one is that the bathroom would collapse and probably destroy 70% of the house
LOL I just can't unsee how much the southern belle looks like a red haired Brook from One Piece..she USED to horrify me as a kid..
ohhh, you got the third one in! Nice!
You really dont want to climb down there
There is a spider down there that's bigger than a bread box
Well what do you know its a giant spider
Me: Im dying XD
Yeah. Even a liiiittle too litterally
Distinctly remember the moment @1:12. When trying to use the No ghost and the bottle isn't open.
To be honest, these cutscenes weren't THAT scary to me after all. Pretty gruesome but not enough against "mindless beast Jennifer" from Splatterhouse 3.
+Lewis Wilkinson Agree. And tbh I rather old school Splatterhouse games, Arcade and Sega Genesis (I don't like the TG16 port of the first one), than the Xbox360 / PS3 new game.
16 Bits gave Splatterhouse a taste and atmosphere that won't be reached never again.
It's also depressing as hell.
Splatterhouse 3s cut scenes shocked me too but i also played Uninvited when it debuted, and before Splatterhouse, this was nightmare fuel
The 1993 and 2010 version of splatter house the MBj is cheap and funny 2010 version is laughable
6:42 "You really don't want to climb down there. There is a spider down there that's bigger than a bread box." (click) "You really don't want to climb down there. Really, that spider is bad news. Don't try to go down there!!" (click) "You really don't want to go down there. The spider that's down there would rip you to shreds." (CLICK) "Well, what do you know. It's a giant spider."
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I finally freaking found it. YES!!!!!!!
Dracan looks like Sid Haig from The Devils Rejects
I love the endless loop death theme, can someone do a 10 hour extended version of it? LOL. :)
Ikr I just cant stop dancing while listening to it lmao
I love these kinds of horror games! XD
Just watch one of the numerous playthroughs of the game. It's pretty innovative for it's time.
I love the Univited. :D
0:46 "bro I'm dead" -💀
That last one is nightmare inducing!
david crumrine Hmm... I'm not sure.
Man, I've watched and played so much of the VGA King's Quest remakes that I can't help but read (in my head) the text in this video in his voice! XD
Now i know where the cursed series was inspirated by for.
Is his sister worth going through all these troubles?
She's kind of cute for an 8-bit girl.
@@endykun holy ! After 8 years of this comment, let me watch it again
It's all fun and games until Dracan wakes up.
When someone is caught cheating on their partner, the death music plays out.
everything rips your face of in this game XD
6:28
Ghost: Now Your Asses Mine Prick
I know I'm 8 years late to this but
Dying to a bath tub....That's a new one
I love how the game patronizes your character if you cut yourself with the axe or knife, as if saying “Oh, wow, you cut yourself real badly; well, that sucks. I guess you’re going to die, too bad for your sister, if only her sibling wasn’t so stupid.” 😂
I'd like to see the computer version's death scenes. It is easier to get it now it's on Steam with Deja Vu 1&2 and Shadowgate.
I still can't believe you forgot the rubber ducky, you monster!
i always forget that this game is so silly, it's hardly even really horror as much as it is comedy at some points
Dude your in a haunted house!!!
Move it move it move it!!!
Yeah, that's the reason, but DOSBox can't fix it. I had thought of that, but this game was completely re-programmed to work just on Windows. If you try DOSBox it just says, "This program requires Microsoft Windows."
My aunt found out the hard way that you had to open the no ghost bottle before you used it lol
Precisely.
I like the music
What sorts of issues are you having with the DOS and Windows versions?
DOS, I just can't find it legitimately for sale anywhere and no one I know has it so I can borrow it. I bought the Windows version, but it won't play on my 64 bit computer, even in compatability mode.
This game used to scare me as a kid. Play the same time it was funny.
What, if anything, happens if you try to use the Spider Cider or pesticide on the giant spider?
It Probably just kills you like normal
7:06 Spider death
I'm totally a year late on this, but you can drop the Ruby outside the house. You're not entirely screwed. :P
In the garden, right?
GOD DAMN SCARLET! WHERE'S TREE FIDDY?!
So, the Ruby its like the doll in Silent Hill 4? A trap item?
Funny thing is that you had cut out the text for going into the giant spider.
Can you imagine the narrator of the Stanley Parable voicing this game?
Maybe the Windows version of the game is too old to work for the newer OS. Space Quest has the same thing, and using DosBox fixes the issue.
This is the only vid of this game thats the same one i remember. It was so scary 😅 😢 but so fun
winrar is best. you can use it to unzip any file.
