    I can extract number plate info on my Annke Analogue DVR system, mine has a alarm trigger menu so I can locate files easily when something triggers the cameras, it is easy to edit the file size so I can also copy these files to a usb stick if needed to hand to the police, the dvr still plugs in to the internet for viewing online or cloud storage, analogue is usualy better in weak internet signal areas as it provides a better quality image 24/7 in 1080p. Most analogue systems support at least two IP cameras and 6 analogue cameras they also come with colour cameras remote 360 degree cameras and wired cameras. The night vision is amazing quality in colour. they have human and vechicle detection settings and sensativity adjustment to, most of which is ample for most households. its not true that you cannot extract the data from the video files on an annalogue recording in fact it simplifies things by compressing each image file so that it can be coppied to a usb stick in seconds. its is worth noting that coaxial and power also carries sound to. The analogue systems support both analogue and IP cameras where as the IP systems only support IP cameras so you have access to almost any type of cctv camera you wish to use on your system often making it cheaper to replace or upgrade your cameras when you need to. Ip cameras also overload your internet download bandwith sometimes slowing it down to a crawl particularly when a loit of people are trying to stream video or play games and many youtubers warn of this happening Annalogue systems wont do this if you record 24/7 and dont connect the dvr to the internet, who wants to be on their phone all day checking in on the house? let the dvr take the strain and stop worying its all being recorded. unless you have pets you want to check up on with internbal cameras its just another waste of time and another level of stress to worry about, better to leave the dvr to record knowing if anything happens its going to be covered by your cctv system.

    I've been binge watching a bunch of videos on different types of cameras and stuff. After watching about 20 videos before this one, I wish I found this one first because that would have saved me a lot of time. Haha.

    So far I only have one of the 5 up. czcams.com/users/postUgkxOXxsTZ3ptV_Pk0fFl8bNZvVqeoqBQFwe My son ran out of time, with motion detector etc. I have it over my garage door. It works great. Have seen a couple of cats, my dogs, when I am out front. And had a bee buzzing around right in front of it. It works very well. It even shows the neighbour's driveway, but only shows movement just past my own, which is very long. I highly recommend them.

    Analogue CCTVs formed the basis of East Germany's centralised switched mass surveillance network. It was connected to Stasi control centres via mechanical switches and in this way Stasi could track the motion lines of people, not just democratic activists,all across the country. Korea adopted this system in digital form and is connected to China's Skynet.

    Analog cctv can use video balun for make easy installation, or can use cctv extender over fiber-optic for more distance and installation. And also ip camera can use converter utp to Fiber Optic for more distance, or use poe repeater (just information from me for sharing)

    Thanks for the great video. I have a doubt/question on term channel. When we say a DVR/NVR support x number of channels what does it mean for analog and IP system ? For analog does it mean that much cameras can be connected to DVR ? If this is the case, how shall we interpret the channels for NVR ?

    • @zadintuvas1
      @zadintuvas1 Před 3 lety +2

      Yes, for NVR the limitation is the processor. 1 channel = 1 camera connected. Either directly via POE port on the NVR or somewhere on the network (you can even connect camera over the internet).

    my biggest question is how well can you mix and match systems? Say you have an existing system, and now you see a better camera is available, but you like the NVR you have. Can you just swap them out - one camera for a different one? are there lots of proprietary systems, or are things fairly standardized?

    • @swaggst
      @swaggst Před rokem

      If you're using a dvr system and see an IP cam you like you can still add it to the dvr system through a poe switch and get the NVR and cameras on the same network. Some hybrid dvrs can add up to 4 IP cameras, so you view them all at once on your tv/monitor/phone.
