I get Sean's frustration with the roles in which he's casted, he's shown us on games like Sally Face and Fran Bow that he has amazing range and can do all these different ages, genders and accents and it always seems like they only want him to play up his Irish accent (i.e. Bendy, fears to fathom and now this one).

1:26:05 I think the reason that Mommy Long Legs is so much more scary than Huggy Wuggy is because she communicates with the player better and seems more sentient, like she cares a bit more. Also maybe because she isn’t chasing you the entire time. She takes pauses, and just when your nerves start to calm down, she goes back at it. Overall, it seems as if she were inspired by The Puppet from FNAF and Spinnel from Steven Universe: The Movie. She has the characteristics as such. Really great game, really great designs, really great interactivity :D
I personally found huggy Wuggy scarier, but it’s because he looks the most like cookie monster out of the bunch, and cookie monster chasing me in 99% of my nightmares as a kid. So he’s literally my nightmare come alive 😂

There’s a difference between going out of your way to get a collectible and just grabbing a collectible you see. He didn’t go out of his way to get it he just went and got it quickly. Only out of the way one would be the crane but I mean that’s just essentially a free one since it’s like oh put in a extra 5 seconds of work and you get it yay!

The mommy doll reminds me of Spinel from Steven Universe a lot. In her voice and of course with the super stretchy limbs. I think it’s cool and wonder if the creators of the game took some inspiration from her for Mommy.
I actually really like the design choice of forks in the road while you're being chased, even if the right choice isn't immediately obvious. It adds a ton of pressure and split second decision making, layering the natural fear of the unknown on top of the chase. This heightens the tension, and opens up a chase to feel really dynamic imo.

I think if I were to compare this game to Bendy and the Ink Machine, in which I strongly do, Kissy would maybe be Boris? I don't know- she just has that vibe. I get a whole spin off of Bendy and the Ink Machine from this game though. Poppy is like a certain side of Alice and Mommy is the other side- Huggy would probably be a small portion of Bendy. I don't know if I really explained that well but I tried lol
What's really genius about it is they play the same alarm sound that plays when Huggy Wuggy comes out of the doorway, which makes you think it's definitely Huggy Wuggy. Then the suspenseful music as it creeps towards you, and when it comes into the light revealing it's Kissy Missy, it plays a relaxed, almost elevator-like music, to make you feel safe. And the animation quality, the way they she glances at the lever, and misses the first time like you said, is just so amazing. Easily Huggy and Kissy are my favorite part of the game.
This game is, legit, more terrifying than any of the FNAF games, including the fanmade games. I don't normally get scared by animatronics, but something about the atmosphere of this game...I can't explain it any other way. It had me on edge the whole time. Not scared, just edgy. Then the chase sequence was a series of SCARE! tension SCARE! tension SCARE! tension SCARE! It's honestly magnificent in its delivery. I haven't been this frightened of a game since Alien: Isolation.
Having watched jack for at least 7 years, the facecam was no problem since his facial expressions are analyzed and stuck in my head forever. I can easily just picture it on his tone of voice
Tbh the whole concept of Mommy reminded me of the "Other Mother" from Coraline. From the weird limbs and the way she tried to be "endearing". And even the fact that she played games with the player and gave them hints reminded me of Coraline trying to find the dead children's eyes. Both Mommy and the "Other Mother" play on their "mommy issues" as Jack put it and gaslight the character into thinking they'll be able to make it out of their world alive, with no intention of actually letting them go. What really got me though was that hand that grabbed Mommy at the end because it look EXACTLY like the Other Mother's (the Beldame) hand at the end of Coraline. Almost like this game is a weird parallel universe🤔
The fact that it took Matpat hours to complete wack-a-wuggy when Jack beat it first try is absolutely hilarious. He even said "This is gonna cause some long cuts in other peoples playthroughs im sure." It's honestly probably because Mat went all Fnaf mode and forgot he could move around the room to get a better view of the holes. No diss on Matt ofc, he's awesome, I just find it very, very interesting.
I think there's some lighting issues, cuz I watched Jack and Matt both and I honestly couldn't see ANYTHING when Matt was doing it but it was clearly much brighter when Jack did it
I think the name you're looking for that you said Mommy Long Legs's voice reminded you of, was Jennifer Tilly. I'm pretty sure the reason Jack is slightly fixated on collectibles and pressing buttons directly(without using the grabpack) is because of his time spent in the Stanley Parable Deluxe Edition

There’s a difference between going out of your way to get a collectible and just grabbing a collectible you see. He didn’t go out of his way to get it he just went and got it quickly.

The mommy doll reminds me of Spinel from Steven Universe a lot. In her voice and of course with the super stretchy limbs. I think it’s cool and wonder if the creators of the game took some inspiration from her for Mommy.

I can relate when I was playing chapter 2 I could not get past that because of the slightly colorblind thing
I actually really like the design choice of forks in the road while you're being chased, even if the right choice isn't immediately obvious. It adds a ton of pressure and split second decision making, layering the natural fear of the unknown on top of the chase. This heightens the tension, and opens up a chase to feel really dynamic imo.

I think if I were to compare this game to Bendy and the Ink Machine, in which I strongly do, Kissy would maybe be Boris? I don't know- she just has that vibe.
I get a whole spin off of Bendy and the Ink Machine from this game though. Poppy is like a certain side of Alice and Mommy is the other side- Huggy would probably be a small portion of Bendy. I don't know if I really explained that well but I tried lol
For some reason when kissy looked at the button it looked cute
What's really genius about it is they play the same alarm sound that plays when Huggy Wuggy comes out of the doorway, which makes you think it's definitely Huggy Wuggy. Then the suspenseful music as it creeps towards you, and when it comes into the light revealing it's Kissy Missy, it plays a relaxed, almost elevator-like music, to make you feel safe.
And the animation quality, the way they she glances at the lever, and misses the first time like you said, is just so amazing. Easily Huggy and Kissy are my favorite part of the game.
When Sean said "Was that the bite of 87??" I just laughed because I watched Mark's stream of this and he said the exact thing lmao

This game is, legit, more terrifying than any of the FNAF games, including the fanmade games. I don't normally get scared by animatronics, but something about the atmosphere of this game...I can't explain it any other way. It had me on edge the whole time. Not scared, just edgy. Then the chase sequence was a series of SCARE! tension SCARE! tension SCARE! tension SCARE! It's honestly magnificent in its delivery. I haven't been this frightened of a game since Alien: Isolation.

Tbh the whole concept of Mommy reminded me of the "Other Mother" from Coraline. From the weird limbs and the way she tried to be "endearing". And even the fact that she played games with the player and gave them hints reminded me of Coraline trying to find the dead children's eyes. Both Mommy and the "Other Mother" play on their "mommy issues" as Jack put it and gaslight the character into thinking they'll be able to make it out of their world alive, with no intention of actually letting them go. What really got me though was that hand that grabbed Mommy at the end because it look EXACTLY like the Other Mother's (the Beldame) hand at the end of Coraline. Almost like this game is a weird parallel universe🤔

The fact that it took Matpat hours to complete wack-a-wuggy when Jack beat it first try is absolutely hilarious. He even said "This is gonna cause some long cuts in other peoples playthroughs im sure." It's honestly probably because Mat went all Fnaf mode and forgot he could move around the room to get a better view of the holes. No diss on Matt ofc, he's awesome, I just find it very, very interesting.
