This is definitely one of the main reasons I never want fame ever. Having eyes on you everywhere you go and the paranoia and stress of it all driving you insane trying to please everyone.
This game actually brings out alot of social media issues nowadays, especially in Japan, like cyber bullying and doxxing. With sites like 2chan etc. providing a anonymous space for people to commit such acts. Remember the female mma fighter who eventually suicide due to such cases. Alot of japanese vtubers had to quit because of doxxing as well.

I didn't know there was and assuming I'm reading this right a JP Female MMA fighter who did such a thing.
I remember as a wrestling fan that I knew there was wrestler (Hana Kimura) who had commited suicide due to cyber bulling mostly and to this day it still irritates me whenever I think why, she died due to a Reality Show that she was part of and said Reality Show was scripted, she got bullied because of something not even her fault.

I mean in the English side of the world we have Chris Chan that went cult ending. If the author can do extension to 60 days edition with more ending they sure can fit more English world cases, such as arrested for drugs, creators drama that went south, sudden demonitization, etc.
I love how realistic this actually sounds, if you puke on stream in Japan you're practically fucked. The people WILL try to burn your career over something like a random DM (E.G. the Rushia/Mafumafu stuff ARE career burning).

Rly? I assumed that was true for the other endings like rainbow girl, but for this one it seems more likely that she is completely broken mentally, and has just killed her neighbour or whoever was ringing on the doorbell. P-chan says that the ringing isn't real, but then again he is supposed to be a figment of her imagination (so not to be trusted lol). She might have been trying to convince herself that she is imaging things,, in order to stop herself from spiraling
@@dgcfgvvgb6555 It couldn't possibly be any door ringing. She was completely losing it at that time, and if at anything she could had been just killed a cat and clobbered it on the wall thus the blood.
Usually, I can deal well with sensitive topics in games. Usually, I can stomach them easily, and go on with life.
But this ending... This was too much.
As someone who went through something similar (Cyber bullying and being stalked on social media by my cyber bullies), this hit so. damn. hard. In the middle of the video, I felt how tears shot up my eyes. And as the video progressed, I realised, that I might be broken by all of this stuff.
All the breakdowns she had on social media and streams hit me so hard. Those breakdowns were so similar to mine and hit so damn hard. And reading the comments of the viewers hurt even more.
I'm thinking about this ending for 20 minutes after the video ended now and. I'm still trying to stop crying. Never, in my entire life, did an ending hit so damn hard. And never, in my entire life, did a game show me how mentally ill and broken I am.
The only thing I can do is wish everyone in this world they don't have to go through something like Ame or me did. Believe me. It's hell.

The most disturbing part of this entire ending (for me, at least) is how eerily realistic Ame's descent into psychosis is. First she becomes irritable and paranoid (when it comes to her 'DIE' stream and her comments about the doorbell ringing) only to end up further deattached to reality and act as if nothing's wrong (as shown in her later Diagram stream). This ending in general pretty much feels like a simulation of what it's like to lose your mind.
This ending feels a bit too real once I reflect on certain people's lives.
It's really heavy bro, I have to catch my breath for a while after this ending.
@@kywarai It's really sad how someone can be on a slow decline dropping small cries for help for days and weeks while the world is just watching, and by the time people realize it's not a joke anymore it's all way too late.

@@kywarai That there were even people laughing and enjoying her descent into breaking was also unsettling to watch. Represents the detached parasocial view on someone's life pretty well.
There's an official anthology manga out there that shows her being locked up in a mental ward after that, by the way. No internet, all alone locked in a small room.

God this game is fucking horrifying, Its so painfully real. I know people like this, and struggled myself with some of the problems Ame has. Seeing Ame lose her mind makes me feel physically sick. I wish I hadn't of found out about this game

Off topic but related to my statement, people romanticize war because they belive there's an "honorable" way to kill people, there isn't. We needed something to endure the bloody horror of murder.
Since you asked an ending analysis I will spoil the true end to you. P-Chan is just an imaginary friend so is also played by Ame herself. This is why whenever Ame has a breakdown the player simply can’t do anything to help her while in this ending P-Chan is also going insane. Ame is always alone through the entire game. And the end stream is probably just some hallucination. I mean no way the stream wouldn’t be cut off if she streams with that much of blood on her face. It just symbolises the fact that she couldn’t handle it and want to abandon her Ame self and lives as a complete Kangel

Man... This game genuinely is kinda scary and probably one of the darkest games I've played, DDLC I guess is an okay comparison but that's just crazy and unrealistic (of course)... But yeah this was deep and kinda a bit disturbing... Incredibly written but damn
too be honest, games without jumpscares are far scarier than ones with. and also games with simple cute artstyles like this one, undertale (not really a horror but sometimes with its glitchy stuff), rpg maker games, omori, etc. idk what it is about them that makes it so disturbing. i also find more real topics scarier than fictional stuff such as ghosts... hhhh
It also helps that this game did take some small inspirations from DDLC
Somehow this gives me doki doki literature vibes but on a less crazy and more down to earth level.
I personally think this is more depressing since since ddlc is a visual novel but in needy streamer overload, you literally control her life but no matter how hard you try, you will never end up with a happy ending. It makes me feel guilty.

It sucks in its own way, but at least she doesn't try to fill the void in her life with the internet and her self worth isn't completely dependent on her streaming career

Started playing a few days ago and somehow this is the first ending I unlocked (excluding the one which you ignore her messages, I just can’t really regard that as a proper ending. It’s more like an actual ‘Game Over you suck lol’ to me).
I’m prepared for what will happen since I have a bad habit of searching for spoilers, but then, when the ending actually happened, it still freaks me out for how creepy, scary and realistic to cyber-bullying it is, not to mention it’s accompanied with eerie music and effects. I still haven’t unlocked all endings, but I think this is probably gonna be my favourite one
me too, i started playing last night and it was the first ending i got and going into the game i kinda only knew about nympomania and cucked so it was really surprising, the second ending i got was dark angel, im gonna start playing it again and see what i get lol.
