- Living St. Louis producer Ruth Ezell visits with attorney Areva Martin. Born and raised in St. Louis, Martin has gone on to successful career in Los Angeles, where she and her husband founded one of the city's largest minority-owned law firms. Despite a busy schedule, Martin still finds time to visit family and friends in St. Louis regularly, and says that it was the strong work ethic instilled in her by her mother and grandmother that lead her to succeed first at the University of Chicago, then at Harvard Law School, and finally in life. One of Martin's children has autism, which led her start a support group for families with disabilities called Special Needs Network.
