Vilvoorde is een stad in de Belgische provincie Vlaams-Brabant direct ten noorden van Brussel. Vilvoorde ligt aan de Zenne en het Zeekanaal Brussel-Schelde en was traditioneel een industriestad. De gemeente wordt gerekend tot de streek Brabantse Kouters.
