Climbing Mt. Kumotori the highest peak in Tokyo on my 40th birthday.

I spent a night in a tent on Mt. Kumotori, the highest peak in Tokyo and the only one of the 100 most famous mountains in Japan. Mt.Kumotori is the mountain at west area in Tokyo.
I started solo mountaineering around November just a year ago, and over the past year, I have often been to the mountains in Okutama because I live in Tokyo. I had been trying to find a good time to climb Mt. Kumotori, the last and final boss in Okutama.
The first day was cloudy, but by the morning of the second day, the weather cleared up nicely and we were able to walk around Mount Kumotori under clear autumn skies. The view from the summit overlooking the Ishihone traverse is amazing. It is indeed the highest mountain in Okutama.
