Ranking EVERY Capture in Super Mario Odyssey!

- Super Mario Odyssey is an amazing game that does so much right, and one of the best things the game did was introduce the capture mechanic. It’s such a simple yet genius concept that leads to some of the most enjoyable experiences in the game. However, with that being said, not all captures are equal. Not every capture is going to be as fun or as useful or as memorable because there’s just so many in the game, and so today, I’m going to go over all 52 captures that are in Super Mario Odyssey and try to determine which one is the greatest, ranking them from worst to best!

Pretty darn accurate, would personally rank Wiggler and Glideon higher, otherwise I totally agree, especially with numero uno 👍
Top 5 captures are Uproot,Pokio, Tropical wiggler, Gushen, And Yoshi
I'd honestly put the boulder and tree above the cactus due to the fact that they are both in deep woods which is arguably tougher than all of sand kingdom as a whole

The meat isn’t hooked to a bossfight you need to climb up the mountain first you get a multi moon but not for the boss

The cactus is more difficult to capture, and since it’s the only challenge, I would rank it a bit higher.

Hammer Bro should be ranked lower, unlike Fire bro which is good, hammer bro’s aim is super inconsistent with seemingly random places the pans go. Uproot and Bullet bill are better
Frog is number one the frog legendary
Catus is best mechanic
Tropical wiggler is also the best

My favourite capture is Bowser
5:12 is technically incorrect, it's only a cutscene trigger, not a capture.

My number 1 is the cheep cheep or pokio or uproot
IMO, wiggler and uproot are way too overrated by the community, as they offer little to no offensive utility, and are pretty slow to move around with. I feel they were decently placed in this list, but uproot was still a little too high.
I personally loved the captures offering fast and/or interesting movement, like the Gushen, Bullet, Snow Bowl Racer, Podobo and Pokio. Captures with good offensive abilities like the Hammer/Fire Bros, Bowser and T-Rex are also incredibly fun.

I’d personally rank Bowser toward the worst because you only get to capture him twice in the game. Probably in the middle of my list because of all of the benefits, such as an instant life up heart and how easy it is to control him

@@misterwhalethewhale I just don’t think he isn’t as functional when you don’t get to use him in more than just a couple of parts. Whereas other great captures such as Glydon, Yoshi and Pokios have many uses and functions, Bowser just wasn’t as fun to me. Still fun, ngl, but not AS fun as the others. Though now that I think on it, I’d probably put him on lower-top-half in my list. Many benefits but can only be used practically a couple of times.
@@hankpeterschmidt8626 it doesn’t matter how many times you can use it what counts is that the capture is good and did you really expect the bowser capture, literally the most epic capture that only happens at the end of the game to reward the player, would be used more often?
