- Join Josh Carlson and Ric McLaughlin as they look ahead to the Endurance side of the season as it gets tantalisingly close.
The first race of the 2024 WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series is now only weeks away. The opening round of the year will take place at the debut venue of Mairiporã, Brazil 12-14 April. Race fans all over the world are on tender hooks at the prospect of that most hotly anticipated of things; an Olympic race season.
Cross-country is the only mountain bike format to be an Olympic sport and as such it’s a huge year for the Endurance athletes with the chance to represent their countries at Paris 2024 up for grabs.
Paris 2024 aside, there is a packed season of UCI Cross-country World Cup racing and of course the UCI World Championships to play for. More information about the full calendar can be found here. In the meantime, tune in as our roving reporter Josh Carlson and lead commentator Ric McLaughlin discuss the highlights of the season ahead. They caught up a few weeks ago at the UCI’s headquarters in Aigle, Switzerland.
Don’t forget that the 2024 WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series will be getting underway in Mairiporã, Brazil 12-14 April.

Nice work Josh, now maybe you can have a quiet word with your friends at the UCI and ask them how us XC fans in Aus can watch the season (without some shonky VPN hack).
How about not confusing people with endurance mountain biking and just say xc. Especially when using the enduro commentators
Yes I completely agree. I'm an xc enthusiast and I assumed this would be about the enduro series. I think the title is misleading, but I'm glad I decided to watch it anyway.
This was my thought at first but now I am thinking endurance might mean more to those not familiar terms like xc, xco, xcc
How do we watch it????
New Zealand currently no coverage available

Ric is back again😢. Really miss Rob Warner. Viewing on mute is a good move. And who the heck is Nino Shooter?
Love Ric on the XC side with Bart… Ric is definitely not DH caliber commentator especially as a lead. I would love to see Josh take the seat as lead commentator in DH. His energy is on point for the adrenaline and overall excitement the sport requires.
Ric nailed XC but ruined the end of every race run in DH by repeating each riders name like he was a robot glitching.
Savilla from the rockrider team will be up there this year
how about broadcasting the World Series to the World?
Guys, did you forget Puck?
Puck pucks….
Bring back ROB WARNER
As non UK national, Bart wouldn’t be permitted to use the style “Sir”
The Commentary is Terrible
