Null rays are like bullet point one for seekers. You can’t just not include them, especially when the tradeoff is a combining weapon that doesnt even really look that great
I absolutely agree!
I now have a bad feeling that Hasbro may be plotting on a weapon pack that would give Skywarp his null rays, but would be super hard to get (such as the centurion drone pack).

I think the _real_ problem is that they never gave Starscream anything distinct to represent his null ray. The other seekers just have laser blaster thingies on their arms. And Skywarp should absolutely have them, and Thundercracker bleeding well better :P
Starscream, on the other hand, had laser blasters and "my null ray!" which was just his laser blasters doing something more than everyone else's did. Which I think confuses the issue.
No longer a pretender shell, but a transformable robot. Love this new incarnation of Iguanus. The transformation is cool, like how the wheels work during the change. And the motorcycle mode is cool too.
-Sure, Iguanus isn't a Pretender anymore. But I wasn't really a fan of the robot in the shell gimmick anyways. Hope for characters like Skullgrin, Submarauder, Bomb-Burst and others to get this treatment.

Got to be honest, the new motorcycle mode is great...and unlike the G1 version, at least the wheels move. Lol!

I’m fine keeping my PotP Skullgrin, seeing as it’s the closest thing to an official Liege Maximo figure.
I am definitely gonna get Iguanus. He makes a cool alternative of TLK Mohawk actually.

U know thats most likely gonna be what hasbro does. I feel like Mohawk was the original design for this but they released this first. Guess well see in the next year if we get one or not
He looks like the best core class so far, Skywarp looks quite cool also.
About that...
I'll give Habsro credit for giving Iguanus fully functioning wheels ever since his G1 toy because that one did not have any wheels at all. Just a solid piece of plastic with two molded on bumps to act as wheels. Though those second wave of Autobot and Decepticons did have a bunch minor engineering oddities

I prefer thundercracker to skywarp but I definitely will be picking him up. I do hope they make a core class thundercracker

We’ll likely get one in the future, wouldn’t be fun if we couldn’t complete the original seeker trio!

I just bought the star scream a couple weeks ago and it’s awesome, it brings me back to my childhood of buying the mini transformers back in like 2009

I know it’s dumb but I kinda hope Hasbro makes a core class Groove out of Iguanus so you can have a bike that scales with the protectobots vehicle modes

I absolutely love the basic figures in legacy and kingdom. Basic line of beast wars imo always felt good enough to be a stand alone tv show roster.
Bruh ngl legacy legit looking real good so far. Disappointed we haven’t seen wave 2 so far. I’m desperate for Blitzwing man

Only thing disappointing here with Legacy Skywarp is no null rays. It just looks awkward. Other than that Skywarp is great and the other Legacy figures look great.
I used my hot rod sword as a dagger for my shattered glass starscream, looks pretty good

I'm actually more excited for Iguanus than for Skywarp, I mean, we've seen a lot of G1 designs for a long time, and you won't let me lie, MP, Siege, Earthrise, a part of Kingdom, Power of the primes and many other lines that I am missing. That Iguanus looks like a very nice step on the right direction.
I love that Iguanus is a transformer and not a pretender shell anymore.The fact that he's a crotch rocket is even better. While I do wish SW came with his Null Rays the transformation on this figure is great and reminds me of G1 Air Raid in his jet form. Which has real sentimental value for me. Great vid Prime. Keep it up

Reptile chopper man is cool and all, but I’m really looking forward to Blitzwing, Inferno, and Armada Starscream.

Iguanus combines motorcycle & beast transformers - I'm esp partial to both - so I'm game.
He gonna go with my Cybertron Ransack (probally gonna get his GTS eventually) & my CW Legends Groove, Override, & Rustdust (if I ever get Wreck-Gar I shall just put con insignia on him since he is basis of non-toy character Vampire).
This CC SKYWARP is the perfect example what I am saying for years now: Hasbro has a tendency to mess up everything with bright "new" ideas or pure laziness (Skywarp without nullrays, Blaster with clear plastic Eject, Galvatron with battle damage, Grimlock without front teeth, etc.).
Skip these idiotic gimmicks and new ideas finally..

The same can be said about the sword. I really love the colours on it and would love if Hasbro kept going with these combining core class weapons. But maybe limit it to characters who don't have outright *necessary* accessories like the Seekers do.

Iguanus kinda reminds me of the Dawn of Futures Past and Beast Wars Uprising designs with the beast details but a vehicle alt mode

I would love to see Hasbro make a whole bunch of core class Pretenders like Iguanus. I'd love a Bugly, Finback, Doubleheader and Landmine that transform into their vehicle modes. Which pretender would you like to see get the 'Iguanus Legacy' treatment?
Supposedly Skullgrin is the next one that is coming.
A more appropriate term would be the “Bludgeon treatment”

3:04 (ish) clipping the chest on to the legs can be really figity. like the the chest doesn’t really clip on (as long as the legs are pinned together). Also I find you can push out the silver shoulders and push them down and forwards so that a tab will click into the bottom of it 3:18 so it will close the gap between the shoulders and torso
🤩WHOOOAH!! That Iguanas🦎is SUPER DOPE!!😍🥰😍 I was going to pass on em’ because I forgot that he was a Pretender, at first. I just remembered the BEAST WARS version & thus, had my expectations looking forward to that. But then I started seeing the reviews & it jogged my memory. THIS core class Iguanas is a MUST HAVE!!😊

the lack of null rays on skywarp was deffinetly disapointing, but that tazer wepone was better then nothing, and if you want, you can also have Skywarp hold it by the bottom side like in his jet mode, with him basicly holding it as a blaster, witch i think i s cool. Iguanus on the other hand is also pretty nice looking, the transformation looks a little dificulte but i'm usre if i get one, i'll get the hang of it.

I can see Iguanus retooled into a Junkion. Just change head/feet/tail and all set.
Iguanus is a must, I would also love a redeco of him homaging Tranametal Reptillion, or a new figurevwith his concept name Snakeskin.
Skywarp I alas have several of already. They need to make a more obscure Seeker to get me to own the mold.

My jaw dropped when I saw Iguanus had a waist swivel. Just the fact that now legends scale transformers have waist swivels and ankle pivot blows my mind.

Yeah is was definitely a dropped ball with skywarp not having the null rays but still getting him cause that paint job looks great with that mold. As to Iguanas, I had the original pretender figure it was my favorite so when it didn't appear back in prime wars line I was disappointed. But seeing this here I'm excited to get this and really hope more of the pretenders get this same treatment as I think it's cool to have the outer pretender shell being the robot mode turning into the inner bot vehicle mode is a cool idea.
3rd party null rays where you guys at? Other than that Skywarp looks awesome! Iguanus also looks cool.

Skywarp and iguanus has items in my school vr game Pacificly skywarp has a space bridges transdimensional matrix regulator from goalius and igruanus has straight up mechtavius destroyers spark combination core ( skywarp makes sense when in goalius flashback to the war for Cybertron he was holding it but iguanus is a error in the game it was a tarn clone who had installed it in him once he gets the upgrade to be mechtavius destroyer mk 2

I like Iguanus he looks pretty cool and skywarp looks like the average everyday seeker. Kind of wish that the seekers would have their own molds. That's what I like about the movies they don't use the same design twice

I do plan on buying a set of null rays for Skywarp, but not having them isn't killing it for me. I had the pretender Iguanus as a kid, and thought it was the dumbest premise, pre beast wars.

At this point, I'd rather they just give Thundercracker another wacky weapon. I can take the Null Rays off of screamer as well, he can hold core Megatron's pistol.

They didn't give Skywarp the null rays but some tuning fork?!! Iguanus is basically a miniature Mega pretender except he doesn't have the inner robot. It's pretty cool. Should look good next to the POTP pretenders. NOw I gotta wonder will they do Thunderwing and the other Mega pretenders like this?
I wonder if they’d redesigned the null rays so they were still separate weapons but plugged together into the taser weapon/sword core, it would have worked better? Like implying some ancient Cybertronian morph weapon that altered itself into something more appropriate for Skywarp?
And Iguanus is just amazing. I want more of the pretenders returning like this, especially everyone’s favorite demon ronin tank Bludgeon. Just imagine a little demon swordsman who becomes some fantastic almost Orcish demonic tank. So metal.
Iguanus looks nice in robot mode. The conversion is VERY reminiscent of Cy-Kill. Skywarp looks great, of course, but I agree that whatever that thing is detracts from his overall appeal.
Iguanus looks fantastic, in both robot and bike modes.
Skywarp gets points for a creative transformation.
Looking forward to getting Iguanus to go with Bomb-burst, Submarauder and Skullgrin.
Skywarp comes with a large magnet, like he was watching looney toons to get an idea for a weapon.

I was considering getting into the Core Class figures for the characters who already have tons of figures, but the lack of Null Rays instantly put me off it. I mean, who was demanding a Cybertronian... tuning fork?

Really odd because it looks more like it should be held as a gun in robot mode and... prongs in jet mode?
Darth Vader voice: "I find your lack of null rays disturbing." I ordered a pair of null rays from a 3D printer outfit and Skywarp is much better with them. You can attach a long narrow blast effect like the ones that came with Siege Jetfire to the peg in the middle of his "fork" thing to make a lightsaber sword, and the added null rays make Skywarp pretty cool. Hot Rod is my least favorite of the Legacy Core Class figures.

A little late now, but I need to say this now. Looking at the Kingdom Hot Rod box, the configuration you showed off is not right. You got Iguanus's part upside down. I mean, I tried both ways out, and the pegs will get in the way either way, but with the red bits of Igaunus's part pointing down towards the hilt, you can actually have the blade facing properly

I love Iguanus design because he look like a humanoid reptilian, make him more menacing looking Decepticon 😁. I agree with you PrimevsPrime 😐, why Hasbro and Takara Tomy decided Core class Skywarp without a Null ray 🤔? The Seeker without Null ray make it look like weird looking robot 🤖 ☹️.
This is a better botmode for a bike than legacy arcee

I swear to god if they don’t release a core class thundercracker. I know it’s obviously gonna happen, you can’t have 2/3 seekers. But for some reason I feel like it wont
I want to see that incarnation of Iguanus upscaled to the same size as Wreck-Gar. Imangine how cool that could be! Never was a fan of the Pretender gimmick, even if I had almost the entire line at one time.
Do you think we will get acid storm and w/e the yellow ones name is? Slipstream or dirge and ramjet too would slap.
