Farming Simulator 22 is here!
It has been a long time coming, but we are finally jumping back into one of my most popular series on the channel, Farming Simulator. We will be playing on the US based Elmcreek map and, as always, will be playing the Start From Scratch game-mode where we start with basically nothing but $500,000 and no tractors or land or anything else. Can we work our way up to being able to purchase and run a full Production Chain, one of the new features in this year's game? Will the Seasons game mode be too much of a challenge to overcome? Come watch the excitement that can only compare to watching grass grow...because it literally is just watching grass grow, lol.

New to the channel? just as a tip, not sure if you knew but you can fill up water tanks at lakes and rivers for free, rather than paying loads of money at the water silos.
I did know that, but that is a great tip for anyone that doesn't. Thank you!

Trailer Fill Limit is a limit to how much weight a trailer can carry, not volume. If you have a trailer that can hold 20,000 liters but only carry 2400 kilograms, having the limit *on* will prevent you from putting more weight in the trailer than it could reasonably carry. Having the limit off, means you will always fill the trailer to the volume limit, even if it would be unrealistic to do so.
20,000 liters of grain doesn't weigh the same as 20,000 liters of potatoes.

Actually, you're wrong! 20,000 L of grain is the same weight as 20,000 L of potatoes, EXACTLY the same weight, but a different Volume!!

Planning time is great vital content too for some of us. Wouldn’t want to skip it all.
I have started playing FS23 and found it very limited. Learned about FS22 and liked it. I have ordered a new PC to play it. While the PC doesn’t arrive, I’m learning with your videos, which I’m loving! Very detailed videos, you share your thought process and allow us to learn and make decisions based on your comments and experience.

Still not as good as the original seasons mod where soil temperatures was important. You couldn’t sow when the soil temperature was too low, plus many other things. Fs22 so much better though that those kind of things I can let go.
@@ravenwda007 Well FS22 seasons doesn't let you plant anything once you hit December, except for cotton in February. Everything else has to wait until March which seems like a pretty good trade off to soil temperatures

Welcome aboard and good luck with your own Start from Scratch. It's definitely not easy, but hopefully I make enough early mistakes so that you can avoid some, lol.
I will still make mistakes, even though you have helped a lot. I am going to grind hard though. Right now, I am a hired worker myself. Building up to purchasing my own land. See if I can take advantage of buying someone else's big field of a money crop at harvest time...we will see how it goes.

If you're willing to spend money on a wheel, consider other games you play.. if you drive race sims then spend your money for a wheel to suit that and it will translate across without the force feedback.. if you're only playing FS with it, buy a decent "budget" wheel/pedal setup and consider spending extra money on some sort of button box, with a joystick

Hey, nice new farming sim series to watch. Especially after having such a bad experience during farming sim 19 where many of the headers were broken and did not work correctly, it was unplayable, and I swore off buying any future installments. The fact Giants never fixed the issue themselves made me avoid them as well.

Hey about the steering wheels, I suggest Logitech G29 its cheap and really Nice you should also buy a saitek farming sim side panel, Just dont Get the farming wheel :)

you probably already figured it out but yes it pulls your name from windows what ever you used when you installed the os really annoying to cause it resets to it ever game. mine says "myname local".
thanks for the vids i wanted a easy relaxing game to play so bought this and damn it the learning curve and searching i had to do just to figure out trailer hooks ups was insane :)
I don't have the game yet but I'm definitely learning some pretty good tricks....
If you try to buy a pressure washer it will allow you to zoom in-and-out and travel around a lot faster than any vehicle it's the best way to look at land

I use logitech g29 wheel and h shifter and use a stream deck as a button box. Works really well

Hey Broyar I now own the Farming Sim 22 It's a great game, But I realize there is no Tutorial feature in the Game. Is there a tutorial option in the Farming sim 22
There is some in-game help information in the menu's, which is mildly helpful. There are also some tutorials on farming-simulator.com that you can check out which are a bit more useful.
just bought it last night and am shocked how thorough the game is. The is however one nagging issue I am dealing with, the map is fairly large and i find myself having to constantly tram my equipment around to do contract jobs. Between picking up the leased equipment from the dealership and running it to my contracted workplace it ends up being a ton of driving. i feel llike a soccer mom lol
It is more efficient money-wise if you do the driving yourself, however, I should point out that you can get workers to drive the equipment to the various fields if you are tired of doing it all yourself.
@@Broyar thanks very much for the advice. after a few more hours of gameplay it started to make more sense and you're exactly right. this game is 10/10 addictive is the other thing i learned haha.

Just picked FS 22 up for FREE on the Epic Games store and had to find some 'let's play' videos because the start of the game doesn't offer much in the way of help or a tutorial. I felt like i was dropped off in Iowa by a greyhound bus along the side of the road and told to go FARM....lol.
Definitely need to be careful how many mods you have LOL the dedi server I played on in 19 would take 5 minutes to load all of the mods if I was to play single player with them all on. I hope Dajnet gets a version of PVtools together for FS22.
By the end, I was playing with a TON of mods in FS19 and didn't have too many issues, but I agree in general that often less is more and will try to keep it fairly slimmed down.

You've watched one episode...I would say your watching speed is pretty slow as well. :)
Considering Farming SImulator has no ffb there really is no need to spend hundreds on a wheel like the recommendations I see in the comments unless you also plan to do things like sim racing on the side. Any wheel with pedals will serve you just fine
That is a good point. I do like racing games a lot, though I tend to play those on my own time. This might be one of those "if it ain't broke" moments and the controller is working fine.
FS22 does have ffb though...
Hey did you notice that it takes about a full in game week for crops to grow.. where as in fs 19 it was only about 1 in game day, i have seasons turned off
You can change it to 1 day in fs22 as well depends if you want things done quickly or want a longer playthrough
It's possible Seasons will slow down the gameplay too much, but I wanted to try it out anyway. We'll see how it goes.

Nice. I like the land at the top right of the map though I'm wondering can you do anything with the properties on that lot? Not sure if they can be sold or can even go in. Also what can you grow up there? Completely new to farming simulator
I really like that land up there as well, but unfortunately it looks like you cannot sell any of the buildings (or do anything with them) which is very disappointing. I'm really hoping Giants adds in a way to use them somehow in the future because all 4 corners actually have really cool farms set up.

I ended up buying the left side fields of it 12,13,14 I think they are and for a start up its just about right I've put a house at the back and there's room for more buildings though I've spent most my money now a lot on levelling and smoothing the ground up there as it is on a slight hill though im new so if you're more experienced sure you'll be able to make a great farm out of it

I watch sealyp lets play. But I have a question. No matter what option I select there's never a house or silo at the start? And no matter what options I start with 0 dollars why? I play on ps5?
Can you now sell other farmhouses that are attached to land you buy? I bought #47 I think it was and it doesn’t seem to let me sell of demolish the house there
I don't think you can sell the house near #47 because when you buy that land, you don't actually get the land under the house itself.
Is there a way to use the same map, you are using with the same crop colors on the map locations, I'm new to this I'm playing on ps5or are the maps different on pc than they are on console.
I think every time you start a new game, it shuffles the crops on each field. I'm not aware of a way to start on exactly the same map every time.

Does anyone know what the circles with the question mark inside it on ps5 I have several on the farm that I bought thanks.
If you go up to the circle and click the interact button (I'm not sure what it is on PS5), it should bring up a help screen giving you information about a part of the game. At least that's what it does on PC.
Greenhouses are laggy on xb1, or at least the product of them.

Default in 22 is 500k and I think some debt?
while your video looks very helpfull, the size and location of your webcam is really bad. when you looked at the tracktors and said what each one is for, we couldn't see it, cause your cam was in the way...

@@Broyar I had the first one, trashed in about 3 months. Received a replacement. Same story. Fun for kids who play one hour a day. Rubish for a little more serious gamers. Get a Logitech. BTW, the sidearm is fun and usefull. Maybe get one from someone in your area i live in the Netherlands so too expensive to ship it i think

Though I do think that the graphics are "good enough" and I really enjoy playing the game as-is, I can definitely understand your desires for a game made in 2021 to be at a higher level to meet the abilities of our modern PCs.

I mean 2021 or not it’s not a first person shooter it’s a simulation game. Graphics take alil bit of a hit for hey let’s add mor simulator aspects. They also saturated colors more I believe you can turn them down alil. But still not an FPS so
