How to Play PS2 Guitar Hero with Wii Guitars and Raphnet Adapter (PCSX2)

Here's some tips for anyone struggling in 2024:
Since the UI has completely changed since this video has been uploaded, to get to the controller settings, go Settings > Controllers > Controller Port 1 > then Guitar
DO NOT click automatic mapping as this will register your guitar useless in-game. You HAVE to map yourself.
Once you're done, to load up Guitar Hero, go to Settings > Add Game Directory, then just select the folder the game you want to play is in. Should work fine after that.

could not get the whammy working either, but I just mapped it to the analog stick. Not the best but it works haha

Hey, sorry if I'm late, but mapping your whammy to Whammy Bar Up will make it work. If it doesn't work, click on the bind on the "Devices" list and lower the sensitivity. Also make sure the bind says XInput. Hope this helps someone!

my frets arent being recognized but my strums are, and my frets work on gamepad tester any help?

When I boot up GH3 on PCSX2, I get stuck on the "Caution" screen saying that this game has autosave. I keep pressing the green fret but it won't let me continue. I made sure every input is working too. What can I do?

my emulator doesnt have those options, it looks differento too. maybe cause it's a newer version?

any idea on what to do about audio/input lag? On GH1 at least there's no in-game option to change it, and it's definitely off enough to feel like I need to strum a good bit in advance, even on my 200hz monitor

I reccomend using the setting thats lets you change the audio lag in the pcsx2 settinga

im having the same issue as @zweePOP with gh3, i have to strum in advance as well and have to be off beat which makes playing the harder songs nearly impossible at least for me :/

I’ve done everything man and my guitars just won’t work and I’ve tried every console guitar Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, and PS3. I mapped the buttons and everything man and everytime I boot up the game the only thing that works is the strum bar nothing else

Ok so I got to where it's time to upload the BIOS but there's nothing in the BIOS folder for PCSX2... where do I get the BIOS from?

Settings > Controllers > Controller Port 1 > Guitar

Maybe? It wouldn't work on a normal PS2, you would have to mod yours. I haven't modded my personal PS2 so I wouldn't know if it's possible, or if it were, how you would go about getting it to work

Damn, is my only option to downgrade? New PCSX2 builds don't have "guitar" as an option, only "DualShock 2".
