- There are so many amazing budget Etsy shops out there, but I know it’s not always possible to spend money on those items. Look around you & you’d be surprised at what you can make a savings challenge.
Not everyone is creative enough to make or think of challenges. This is great information 👏
I have been using the kiddie books/coloring books/activity books from Dollar Tree for my challenge activities...so economical. TFS your ideas!

❤❤❤I love this! I am so stinkin' frugal...aka cheapskate 🤣, and don't like spending $ on savings challenges, so I've been improvising. I work at a library and we always have bookmarks to color, I grab up the extras and use them for my challenges. I love the math book idea!

Great video! I started off doing my own challenges. I have bought from shops too. But, I think I am doing a no spend for several months to come. I have bought games at the thrift store and turn them in to games I can use to save. I get my binders there too. I have been through my granddaughters books and coloring books. I look at Dollar general and dollar tree. I like to get the toddler hard books(I get them from Dollar General for 1.00) and turn them into scratch off books. I just look at things different. Even place cards make some fun scratch offs.
I love it when people create their own from what is around them. I also use the library to copie some pages or whatever I find. Their printers have amazing vibrant colors and is just .15 per page.

I wondered why people pay for challenges when they can just make up their own. Buying challenges is counter to the point of saving.

I agree. I know a lot of work goes into making challenges from thinking them up, designing, producing, etc. So not slamming creators or saying they dont deserve compensation if get product from them.
However, when I started on journey, I'd not heard of dave ramsey, or Clark Howard. And I fumbled my way through.
I went old school from my past and started w/ saving change. Dad n I'd save pennies as kid and have game days where we'd divvy it between us and "gamble" on blackjack or something. Play for bit then we'd gather change back up together till next time.
And what kid hasnt had piggy banks growing up?
I'd put the extra towards principle - payment amount plus extra amnt towards principle cut interest amnt. Thus pays off faster and w/ less.
Had few "challenges " to it since I was dumb n didnt have a emergency fund at 1st. And I had folks who were against me and thought I was stupid (got house pd off and my sister tried to convince me to borrow money against my house, and give to her to pay off her house. No, I did not do it.)
I dont drink but if you do think of saving like drinking games. Every time actor says certain word, save an amount as example (think of TBBT when amy n sheldon were playing a drinking game w/ "never have I ever" and rarely took a drink till question was push all buttons on elevator )
Also didnt know of getting accountability partner but most folks iny life seem to be type to do opposite to keeping you accountable.
So need to find your ways to have fun w/ it, be accountable, and succeed
Most people dont need to save every Penny 😂 spending 2 bucks for a printable, that even If only printed once, Help you to save 2000 bucks? Why Not? No need to BE so bitter 😂

You don’t need a challenge I learned that after buying so many .. deck of cards or a dice work and you can get both at the $ tree

I did my on challenge this year by rounding up my change after using my debit card.. one of the things I considered was why withdraw cash that eventually has to go back to the bank.. just transfer the money into a different account as you are doing the challenge.. nobody wants large sums in the home at least I don’t…. And I bought play money at 5 and below
Loved this! I have done a couple of the color by number ones and they are so fun! Tons of free cute ones online! I'm the one that gave Lady Di her Sudoku book!!❤❤ love seeing her do that it is so fun as a savings challenge! I'm definitely going to look for the sticker by number book! I have been making my own sticker challenges by using stickers I have laying around when I used to scrapbooking and then created a background in canva! Did you get your sticker by number book in the store or order online? Again great video!
Hi!! Thank you for your comment. I think I got my sticker by number at target or Walmart in the dollar section. My daughter destroys them so I know I wouldn’t have spent more than $3 on it 😹
