  • Stuart Zender, known for his basslines in Jamiroquai, has an Ashdown signature Pedal called the "Funk Face". We couldn't resist and fitted a whole drumset into one of the #TGU18 rooms to be able to show the pedal in a band context.

Great groove and surely left its mark in the golden age of acid jazz and is a name to remember .. But there is a tendency to overestimate it a little too much, especially considering what is around today (guys next door who would make many "professionals" turn pale) .. The thing is: Jamiroquai was THE band, it is his home and where he could make his music. His biggest mistake was to leave Jamiroquai and I believe he still regrets it to his day, even if he would never admit it, but another fact is, since he, Simon Katz and Toby left the band, Jamiroquai was never the same. Zender is such a knob.
Done a gig with him 30 years ago and he was a knob.
    He’s
Some feat to out knob Jay Kay.
    Great player, though

why is stuart like that. i partied with him one night and morning, he was a friend of my friend, and him and a female friend of his went home with us in the morning, and she was absolutely awful and spiteful. Stuart was like really insecure but very friendly, just like a little puppy and very subservant. But then the weird twist was that both my friend and that girl stuart was there with, were really bossy towards him and at the same time they totally wanted him there because of who he was. strangest fucking night out ever.

Dam that’s messed up why would that treat him like that he’s a total legend but forget that he deserves better than that not as a legend but a person not cool.but what your saying sounds odd the girls where very mean and he was friendly but insecure those two words paint a strange picture lol

Comment section is salty, zender was obviously super nervous, but if anything the interviewer should have atleast tried to match his energy instead of just saying "Right." every attempt at a joke. Honestly he was more annoying than Zender here.
