I met Gwen Stefani the year she performed Just A Girl on the David Letterman Show with NO DOUBT. That was 1996. The location was in Europe. They did a tour over there in 96 on that first album. Their were not many people there, but they rocked it out in this local Live music Hall where I saw them. After the show. I talked to the entire Band. They signed my Tragic Kingdom Album. Gwen was so small. She was humble and talked a bit with me and my Girlfriend at the time. Great moment. I saw her and the Band on Letterman that March of 96 and met them in July of 96. I was impressed with her prowess to control the performance as the lead singer. After that meeting, that fall of 96 they released DON'T SPEAK. The rest is history. Her success doesn't surprise me!

I’m a Texan that absolutely adores Gwen. When my kids were little and she was still with “no doubt”, we ran into her in SanDiego. My kids were so excited and I didn’t want them to bother her (because we’ve ran into rude celebrities before) not Gwen. She was so kind to them and even let them hug her. I’ll never forget her.

It is huge.
While a person can heal and move beyond a tough childhood...it is very hard. That foundation is set and when it's toxic it pervasively effects every aspect of a person, their view of self, the world and others.
How do you know she had an excellent upbringing?
Most patients who do such extensive self mutilation, to fit societal "youth" worship, has not felt fully that they were accepted and ok, to be them...flawed human and all.
Where is your proof of her "good childhood"?
@@Alphacentauri819 I don't know what you're implying with self mutilation, but Gwen brought up her parents often. She admitted she lived with them until 26 because she just enjoys being with them. She moved out only after she bought her own house after Tragic Kingdom success. Her parents still often shows up at her shows, being supportive. She still goes to church with them, spend weekends, holidays and birthdays together with her siblings' family. Even Kelly Clarkson who met her parents said how wonderful her parents are. She also plays videos from her childhood in her Vegas show, it's very apparent how important her childhood was to her. She said getting divorced was really hard because she failed like a failure, looking up to her parents' wonderful marriage, they were high school sweethearts that still holding hands until today. But it was also particularly hard because she can't imagine her children not growing up in intact family like she did, she had to come to terms that not all family can stay together and yet her children will still be okay with it. In conclusion yes, she had good childhood.
I love Gwen. She is such a sweet human and beautiful as well. I am so happy for her.

I love my husband more than life itself and I often take my rings off when I’m cleaning with harsh chemicals and I sometimes get so wrapped up in the day that I have forgot to put them back on. Marriage isn’t about the ring on
your finger, it’s about the love you have for one another and life you want to build together, whether I have my ring on or not it doesn’t change that.

She probably like most of us had never been to a rodeo, really did not understand how great they really are. I dont think she meant anything by that . She just came from a different lifestyle. It was a wonderful learning experience. I think she is very glad now that she did it.
