Its a real shame this beautiful piece of music has no resemblance to any part of The Revenge of Shinobi for the Sega Genesis. And nobody bother to tell me it does cuz I JUST finished the game and have been playing it for over 2 hours admiring the 16 bit soundtrack! Not to mention, its one of my favorite games from the 90's.

Yup, not Shinobi. Sounds super familiar, definitely from a video game. But pretty damn sure it's not Shinobi 2 or 3, and doesn't sound like Shadow Dancer either..
The suite is really based on The Revenge of Shinobi and was actually arranged by Yuzo Koshiro himself. Here are the tracks for reference:
