- Hi YT family! In today's video... I style my best friends new house. My best friend Stephanie used to live in Bend, OR and recently moved back to San Diego. With that came selling all of her furniture and decor and starting completely over. She wanted a fresh set of eyes on decorating a few aspects of her home and asked if I would help her. I hope you guys enjoy a new space with different decor. It was challenging but a lot of fun!

DUDE!!! Look at you! Just walking in and styling someone’s home like the true badass you are and it looks freaking AMAZING!!! I’ve been out of the country traveling for 4 weeks and I can’t wait to catch up on a months worth of videos. Seriously you killed it here. Originally I wasn’t really vibing with the mirror on the mantle but then you worked your magic and threw those books, candles, vessels and the picture up there an POOF, I love it!!

But when she saw how it turned out... she was like I'm literally obsessed. I did things she never thought to do and that's pretty cool!

Sniffle !!! Thank you so much! It was a lot of fun playing with new items and decor. I was also nervous as she does this for a living and was curious what her feedback would be. We have 2 very different approaches when it comes to decorating. She likes moreeeeeee the merrier. Where I do a less is more approach. She never thought to do things how I placed them. She loved it!!!! I think we all sometimes need a fresh take on our space. I am sure someone would come into my space and decorate it completely different than me. They are like a puzzle. I only had a stack to work with.. so, I had to make what she had work. I think it came out really well given every single one of her pillows was different. Get creative. It should be a fun process! XOXOXO

This was beautiful.. I loved watching you do your thing , beautiful. You do know this is at least one of your gifts😍 and as always you bless me with ideas.. oh my gosh you should see the way I have been unraveling my home , restyling and getting rid of stuff that no longer serves my style. I ordered a sectional from PB that won’t arrive for awhile so I am focusing on gathering all the things, painting the room etc so it’s ready for the sectional when it arrives.. I moved some cabinets into my dining room and you have given me some fantastic styling tips. 🌸🌺
YAY! That is awesome to hear. I totally think get rid of things that aren't serving their purpose or not filling your cup. We all do it. There are some items I buy that I think I am going to use more and they end up taking up space in my decor cabinet. When that happens ... You have a real talent for this, an inherently good eye. And you bring up a good point ---sometimes no matter how good you are at styling, you need a fresh pair of eyes. There's also something to be said for objectivity and why it's sometimes easier for someone else to come in and see what we can't. It's a bit like a visual version of "nose blindness". We no longer see what is clear to someone else. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to more!
