Skyler thinks too much. It is just a business. So long it's profitable, it doesn't matter if it's laser tag or nail salon. I don't smoke but if I can sell cigarettes for profit, I don't mind at all.

@@conors4430 The point is Walt just needs a business that generates enough profit to launder his money. It can be anything. It won't raise any suspicion. Businessmen create business not associated with their personal interests / hobbies all the time. Saul has experience in this regard. Skyler and Walt should just listen to their lawyer.

@@Frank_144 uh, yeah? breaking bad is a show about a dude whose whole attitude in life is entirely built upon the fact that he left a company that went on to become really successful. he thinks his meth operation will give him meaning in life and prove that he doesn't need gretchen and elliot, but ultimately jesse, skyler, and even gus and mike are forced to keep his ass safe from law enforcement and criminal competition.
and that all ultimately fails anyways because walt is an arrogant, narcissistic bastard who gets hank killed because of, guess what? his pride. shit, his ultimate downfall was because of gale of all people--he wouldn't just let gale be known as heisenberg, and the book hank finds while TAKING A SHIT is the one gale gave him! walt is an idiot and while he may know chemistry and eventually learn how to be a force of nature in the crime world, he never was jesse james. he's a misanthropic manchild who turned everyone against him in the end because he. is. a. CHUMP.

If they wouldnt have added the perfect backstory of Jimmie doing these small schemes, then this wouldnt have made sense. But as it is, it is right up his alleyway.
